La Farigoulette: Stunning Country Villa with full Air Conditioning near Valbonne
La Farigoulette is a beautiful, spacious country house that is decorated and furnished to an exceptionally high standard. It is set in nearly 5000sqm of olive groves and enchanting gardens. Sleeping up to14 people comfortably plus infants, the villa is within 30 minutes of Nice airport. Valbonne Village, Grasse, Antibes, Cannes, Monaco, St Paul de Vence are all accessible from the villa by car.
There are 7 bedrooms: A private sumptuous Master Suite with a balcony overlooking the pool and a large sitting/dressing room and a spacious Ensuite Bathroom with bathtub and separate shower. Two other bedrooms also have private Ensuite Bathrooms.
The kitchen is charmingly decorated and fully-equipped with all modern appliances. There is a state-of-the-art US fridge, a separate ice-maker, and laundry room with washer and dryer.
There are two large comfortable sitting rooms on different levels. The Garden Level area includes a games table, table football and 75' television. The sitting room on the Main Floor has a large Balcony for breakfast or apéritifs.
All bedrooms have individual A/C units and all common areas have fully-ducted Air Conditioning..
Outside the kitchen, you'll find a welcoming dining area with a table large enough for your entire group and a big gas bbq. The Garden Level has a big patio with a dining area, and table tennis.
Down by the pool, there are ample sun loungers for everyone (sun or shade) and a Pool House and Outdoor Kitchen with a second planche (electric) bbq and a second ice machine. The terraced grounds are full of pretty olive and fruit trees.
La Farigoulette is a lovely home incorporating modern facilities with Provençal style, superbly positioned on the Cote d'Azur.

Fabulous property and grounds. We had 4 families staying and there were loads of different garden areas /inside rooms to get some seclusion if required. The house was very well equipped with everything you would need on holiday including 2 ice making machines! The lane entrance is steep and narrow so beware if arriving in a wide vehicle.

Had a fabulous week in this Villa, the pool area is exceptional for a family, lots of sunbeds, huge pool and and outdoor kitchen. The beds were so comfortable, lovely bed linen and every bedroom air conditioned. Kitchen very well stocked with all you need for a big family. Would say you definitely need a car, very hilly around and a good half an hours walk to the nearest restaurant etc. John, Rachel and Tina were exceptional with their communication and were so welcoming. We had a magnificent stay at this property. We were a group of 8 with teens, young adults and over 50’s. Fun was had by all with the table tennis, swimming pool and table football. The property was of a scale that we all had on our space and then could get together in the communal areas for meals and games. I would highly recommend and we hope to be back.

My family and I enjoyed a wonderful week at La Farigoulette. First and foremost, the villa is fantastic and the hosts have thought of and provided everything we could possibly have wanted and wished for. The villa is well maintained and a ‘home from home’ making it easy to settle in immediately and enjoy our holiday. Ideally located a short drive between Opio and Valbonne, all local amenities are easily accessible should you choose to leave the villa….which we rarely did.

We had the privilege to rent this amazing house a week in May 2025. Our plan was to celebrate my wife’sanniversary with our extended family and our expectation were very high on both the house, pool and outdoorspaces. We are a family of 12 adults who spent an idyllic week at La Farigoulette in August 2025. The property was fantastic and facilities amazing. We enjoyed the tranquil pool area for sunbathing and reading with table tennis and even a pétanque court. The kitchen was fully stocked and we sat round the enormous communal table in the evening flanked by cool evening lights and an impressive modern bbq. Bedrooms were clean with enough space and bathroom facilities for everyone. The rooms and grounds meant we were not on top of each other and could properly relax . We have booked Vrbo holidays for 15 years this was one of the best. The owner John was on hand when we arrived and couldn’t have been more kind and attentive. Highly recommended

Excellent place for bigger group

We spent an excellent week at Le Farigoulette house with our complete family. We were 13 persons, ages between 2 and 70. There was plenty of room and enough privacy for all of us. The swimming pool was great especially for the 6 to 9 year old ones but everyone used it. The pool kitchen with fridge and chargoal barbecue was actively used. The house was clean and nicely decorated. Nice house with a central location at the end of a steep road.

We have just returned from a wonderful week long stay at the property. It was a lovely home for our 4 families (14 of us) to meet and enjoy a holiday together. The house was very spacious with plenty of seating areas and dining areas with tables large enough to accommodate us all. Table tennis, boules and table football entertained the younger members of the family and the pool which was a great size and temperature was enjoyed by everyone and the bonus of a bar area by the pool was great!(additional plastic glasses/plates by the pool would be useful)There was also plenty of secure parking. John, the host, met us upon arrival was very friendly and provided us with all the necessary information. (An additional house key would be beneficial if more than two families staying)I would happily recommend the property to others wanting to enjoy a beautiful home to relax and enjoy the facilities but at the same time be close to the coast and other local attractions.

Fabulous large family holiday

We were a group of two families with young adult children and their friends plus a dog. The house was perfect for our needs ... plenty of bedrooms and space for all. The pool was a big hit, with ample sunbeds for everyone. We had BBQs outside the kitchen, sitting at the wonderful large table, looking out over the terraces and pool lit at night. This ice machine was a big hit, plus A/C in all the bedrooms. The local area was beautiful, we particularly enjoyed Valbonne. There are plenty of places to eat out and we even had Uber Eats delivery pizza one night! We did day trips to Cannes and Monaco as well. John and Rachael were really helpful and made the whole process of booking, providing information, plus arrival and departure really easy. I would recommend and love to go back!

Two small wrinkles in an otherwise excellent stay

The lovely property was in excellent condition and clearly actively maintained. The owner and his colleague who welcomed us could not have been more attentive. Two wrinkles: First, we had several relatives visit during our stay and everyone, including us, got lost at the last stage of their journeys. I suggest that a map be supplied to visitors, of the roads in the immediate neighbourhood and the location of the property. Second, the internet/WiFi was inadequate for reliable use most of the day. I believe that this is due to regional capacity problems, not due to any shortcomings in the property itself. But we thoroughly enjoyed all other aspects of the stay, hence the five-star ratings!

Hello Philip, We are so glad you thoroughly enjoyed your stay at La Farigoulette. Just to respond to your two points. We are sorry you had difficulty finding the house. Normally GPS apps have been spot on. There is also a local direction narrative in the arrival information received by guests just before their stay. The internet has been slow this summer due to over capacity of the networks. I have spoken with Orange and they assure me that fibre optic will be immanently available, So I am hoping that this will not happen again. Thank you, for your stay and for being such great guests. Why they chose this property

Lovingly renovated to incorporate modern luxury and French country charm the villa offers a private haven to all who stay here. Each year we update and add features to improve the property. On the inside we have added air conditioning to all rooms to provide a cool environment when it gets hot. We have upgraded the downstairs rooms, and added a beautiful grand piano. In the gardens we have added new plantings for more colour, shaped trees and added new terraced walls in the old style. We now offer a superb barbecue and eating area just outside the back door with a huge oval poured-concrete table and massive Australian built-in (gas) bbq. The pool house/bar/kitchen--which houses a second (charcoal) bbq was also recently updated with beautiful moroccan tiles, new counter tops and appliances.
Recently, we added a beautiful sweeping artisanal stonework driveway and pool heating that you can request at a modest charge.
The entertainment room on the Garden Level got a make-over which includes a brand new state-of-the-art 75-inch TV and a new wood-burning stove.
The villa aside, this is an incredible corner of the earth. Simple, quiet village life takes place at our doorstep, but within a few minutes, you can find yourself at the heart of the French Riviera: Monaco, Cannes, Nice, Antibes and Italy.

Aside from space, space, and more space what we think makes this villa special is the modern luxury coupled with old-world charm. You will not tire of waking up in the morning, throwing open the shutters to the beautiful view of the forest and the sound of the birds singing.
