The house was great and the property was located in an upper end housing development. We were close to stores and beaches as well as access to Cape Cod.
The property was as advertised. Plenty of room for our 7 adults and 2 children. The owner was very accessible and accommodating. We had a great week and would definitely stay at this property again.
The house was as expected. The porch was fantastic. The location was convenient. The hosts were very responsive to requests. We were very happy with the accommodations. The house could use a deep cleaning (like ceiling fans). We would stay there again!

Spacious home for a large group
This house had plenty of room for 8 adults and a child. There are several places to hang out indoors and out, and plenty of seating and parking. We made use of the outdoor grill. The South Cape Beach park is a short drive away. For non-Mass residents, the parking fees are stiff and a weekly parking permit needs to be ordered in advance via mail. The nearer Popponset beach, although in walking distance for adults, is not available as it is a private beach.
Overall, we had a great time. The house was nice and we had plenty of room although we were disappointed to find one shower was not working when we had 14 people staying there. The large deck was wonderful and there was plenty of shade. Our only complaint is the grill was very dirty so we didn't use it. Also, it would be nice if a folder with instructions on where to find things, how to use the air, TV's etc. was left for reference and what was included, if anything, in the neighborhood.

Dirty, unsafe and pricey
We stayed for over a week at this property.. A few hits:
- The location is great. Very close to Mashpee commons, the town beach
- Really nice neighborhood and felt very safe
- Master bedroom was great
- There was an issue with the fire alarm and the owner promptly had someone come in and fix it
Now a bunch of misses:
- The place is really dirty. There were cobwebs , dust everywhere and a lot of bugs. The patio was pretty much unusable along with the outdoor shower.
- The beds were really small, except for the master bedroom. we were 6 adults and 3 kids and it would be really tight for any more people. The pictures are deceiving but most of the beds being twin/full.
- The house claimed 4 bathrooms but only 2 were functional. One was not working and the other outdoor shower was really dirty.
- More than anything, the washer dryer access is horribly unsafe. There is a massive bed frame in the staircase that leads to the basement and is a huge safety hazard. The washer and dryer had a bunch of dirty clothes in it and we had to take it off to run our own load. To take the laundry basket via that staircase was extremely unsafe.
Overall, as a recommendation, I'd give it a big miss. Too much money for not enough perks. We've stayed at the Cape before and there are much better properties at this price.
This space is a great place for gathering. The living room/eating area, the sunroom and the outdoor spaces were fantastic. This comfortably slept ten people (7 adults, 3 teenagers) and easily could have handled 4 more on pull outs. My parents stayed at a different house in Mashpee and were a bit jealous of our space. It was nice to have 3 full bathrooms and an outdoor shower. AC was appreciated in the heat wave (central AC downstairs, window units and ceiling fans upstairs). The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of pots/pans, baking tins, utensils, bowls, plates/cups, etc. The owner was very responsive. We would definitely stay there again. I do recommend packing TP, paper towels, and trash bags as there were none when I arrived. My only other complaints would be that the grill needs a good cleaning and three smoke detectors seemed to be piled on the kitchen counter (uninstalled?).
Had a very nice time staying at this home. Quiet neighborhood and closeness to beach was great. Would stay again.

Nice location and large home
The house location was perfect for our needs and the home was roomy. The dining table and deck table were great for our large group. We also felt cleaning was subpar as the floors had dirt under tables and furniture and the kitchen sink did not appear to be cleaned. Numerous cobwebs were visible and ceiling fans had heavy dust deposits. There was no toilet paper or soap upon arrival and the bath towels in the downstairs closet smelled and had to be washed before use. Beds were not as advertised with one king, one queen and two full size (not queen). We agree sliders and screens need updating as they were difficult to open/close. The outdoor grill was great.

Honest opinion
Outdoor shower was great. None if us ever showered indoor. The dining table worked wonderfully for eating, doing puzzles and playing games. We did feel more attention should be directed to cleaning. There were crumbs and dirt under tables and furniture. Also there was coffee left in the pot. We had to buy toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags early on in the week. We were surprised that the upstairs bedrooms were not part of the house A/C system. Sliders and screens need updating. Very little guidance was given to how to run grill ,appliances A/C etc. With a little care and attention this house could be a top notch rental .
We had a really great stay. House was just as described and very clean when we arrived. There were 6 of us (3 couples) and we had more than enough room.
Kitchen was a good size for preparing meals and the deck and sun room were big hits with our group. When we weren’t at the beach we were chilling in these spaces.
We would definitely rent here again.
Great home with huge patio and great open space on the main floor. Master bedroom with a private bathroom on the first floor, great for older adults. Kids had a blast playing in the sunroom and in the loft upstairs... great vacation home..
We were a big group (10 adults and 3 children). The property was great for us. Two of the bedrooms on first floor are small - at most an adult and a child in my opinion - but we made it work and had a good time. The large deck was amazing. Spent most of our evenings there.
Great time and had lots of space for my teen boys and a few friends. Close to beach and Mashpee commons. House had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay.
Good base for our family vacation. Lovely location.

Nice home
We enjoyed our stay, the house was nicely laid out, the area was beautiful and a quick 10 min drive to the beach.
On the other hand, cleanliness was a big issue when we arrived. Also, the beds in the rooms did not correspond to the description, which we had to work with on the spot for 9 adults - 3 couples and 3 singles (one king on 1st floor, one queen on 2nd floor, one double on 2nd floor, one double on 1st floor, bunkbeds on 1st floor - but the 2nd bed cannot take a person above 120lbs..., double pull out bed on the 2nd floor).
The cleaning company is not good, but the owner was made aware that we had to clean the entire house when we arrived.
The owner was also helpful regarding issues we had when we were caught in the July tornado.
A renters guide for beach permits, shopping, what to do in the area would be nice to provide. Supplying a lobster pot and tools would also be a plus for future renters.
On the big picture, we had a great time!
Nice house, nice location, tight fit with lots of adults.
We had a very nice stay in the Mashpee house. The neighborhood is quiet and the location is good. There were plenty of activities within a short drive.
The public areas are large and provided great gathering places. The outdoor porch got a lot of use, as did the screened porch. The dining room table was big enough for a large group to socialize and play games. Fantastic!
The only issue was with sleeping arrangements, and that's because we had a large group. 14 adults, basically (4 70 somethings, 4 50 somethings, 4 20 somethings, and 2 teens). If we hadn't brought air mattresses we wouldn't have been able to support that. The downstairs bedrooms are very small. No room for anything but the bed (and the room with the bunk bed supports a max of 120 lbs on top bunk). The upstairs rooms are bigger, but one has a double bed (smaller than queen), which can be a challenge for 2 people. The upstairs rooms are large enough for an air mattress on the floor, as is the loft. The MBR is very spacious, which was good for a pair of the 70s, as the stairs to the 2nd floor are fairly steep and would have presented a problem.
Again, we had a great time at the house. I don't want this to seem like a complain-y review, but large groups travelling with older folks may need this additional info.
Our group had a wonderful time at this cozy and warm house. Privacy is great. The screened porch and the deck are great, comfortable for having fun on the cool nights of New England summers. Would recommend to a friend!
