The house was absolutely beautiful, much bigger in person! Great location, it was a quick drive to a wonderful beach! Only thing I would’ve changed was the thermostats, it could have been a little bit cooler at night time!
Had an easy check in into this beautiful clean home for my family and friends to do a Cape weekend getaway. Many rooms, many beds, several bathrooms, and nice big kitchen to make lunch/dinner together.
We had a wonderful experience during the 4th July weekend. The house is spacious, very clean and great location. The communication with Fanny was outstanding. No complain during our stay and high recommend.
Stayed here with a group of 11 friends. Plenty of bed space, the outdoor area was lovely, and only a mile walk to south cape beach which was beautiful. Nice walking trails through the woods nearby too. Kitchen was well-stocked with spices and coffee. Would happily stay again!
My group and I had a great time at this property! Clean & huge house! Location to the beach was great. Just be aware if you are from out of state the parking at the the south cape beach is $40. Would come back!
Friends from grad school and I went down for a weekend at the beach and this house was perfect—plenty of room for everyone, a well-stocked kitchen, and 10 min walking to the beach. A great choice for a group!
Overall it was a great stay, we could walk to the beach or take a very short drive and lots of bedrooms and beds for everyone. Good kitchen and common areas. Bedrooms were nice! Our only complaints were that we thought there would be outdoor patio furniture and there was not. Also we it was warm upstairs and without a fan or ability to control the temperature that was tough. But we had a fun stay and would recommend. Thank you!
Roomy, impecably kept and appointed home -- great time!
The house was perfect for our gang of nine life-long friends enjoying a 'Girls Weekend' away. The location was perfect. The common spaces, bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and just what we were looking for. Fanny was a pleasure to deal with. We will be back!!
This house was the perfect location for a girls weekend meetup. Everyone was able to have their own bed and they were all comfortable. The kitchen cabinets were well stocked with dishes, spices, and appliances. I would love to have been able to stay here for longer! It’s a short drive (or medium walk) to the beach and it was soft sand. There are only 4 parking spots allowed, however, the driveway did have room for more. So the only downside was that two cars had to be dropped off in Falmouth in the ferry parking lot for $30/day (we all were traveling from out of town). Overall, we were impressed with the location, the house, and the amenities…would recommend!!

BEWARE
Such a horrible experience on what should have been a great weekend. Beware that when you arrive the host will not leave you alone until you sign a contract she leaves in the home. After my stay the host accused me of breaching the contract and damaging her outdoor furniture. The outdoor furniture was old and we didn't even use it, which makes me wonder if she is using the damage coverage she requires to upgrade her home (a scam!) After my stay I also realized she charged me 800 dollars for an early check-in (more than one nights stay!) When I messaged her before my arrival inquiring about early check-in she was more than willing to allow that which I thought was very nice. Little did I know she would be charging me for this, and a ridiculous charge at that! She never mentioned an additional fee or I would not have opted to come early. I would never stay here again, and hope that someone sees this review before she finds a way to delete it. I have already been in contact with VRBO many times to try and save people the headache I have gone through and the money I have lost. Please do not make the same mistake I did and rent here.

A few hiccups
The home was lovely! The location explained on the site lead you to believe that there was a dock on the property. Also it said under amenities that there were kayaks and canoes, there was one kayak down by the dock at the end of the street although it was locked up. We did attempt to contact the host concerning the kayaks. She said she would let us use one kayak and the paddles are in the garage. Two of my guess we’re planning on spending Sunday kayaking, they wound up leaving early since there really were no kayaks and canoes. The house slept 11 people for some reason we were given 11 bath towels, being there for four nights with eight people there was not enough towels. Again we attempted to contact the host, the Internet connection there was very poor so I really wasn’t receiving the emails until after I left the location on Monday. A neighbor left some towels on the chair outside the front door did not knock and they must’ve been in a closet somewhere with a musty smell. Also there was a lock on the thermostat so it was very warm in the home, having three people with asthmatic conditions it was very uncomfortable sleeping . Just beware there was some documentation she wanted us to sign about the white towels that she did leave us which were minimal so that you did not stain them with your make up. A document said she would charge $2000 if you stained the towels. It also said you could not use the washer and dryer so there was no way to wash the towels . So I rate this OK , for the price we really had no contact with the host except the bag of potato chips she left for us. $4200 dollars was a lot for four nights especially having to use the same towel. Also she asked me to text or call her when we arrived although she would not share her phone number , when she finally shared the phone number she would not answer the text. A beautiful home but numerous hiccups and I had lots of guessed it was my 65th birthday party. I hope this helps someone and making their decision moving forward.
We had a fantastic weekend with friends at Fanny’s property. Home was very clean and cozy, kitchen was well stocked with all we could need, and communication with the host was easy and attentive. We would all recommend!
Overall, my group had a great stay! The house was very clean and could fit our large group comfortably. It was close to a small beach which was perfect for us. The owner was also very easy to get in contact with and was quick to respond during our stay. We do wish there would have been more towels available to use or that we could have thrown things in the washer which was not available to guests. It would have also been helpful just to know to bring more toilet paper. Other than that, a very pleasant trip.
Fanny's house was clean and spacious for my large group that stayed. The location is a 20 minute walk to the beach and a 5 minute car ride. The listing did state they had a washer/dryer, but there were signs on it that we weren't allowed to use it so that was a bummer. We also ran out of toilet paper, paper towels, and garbage bags on day 2. It was also a bit hot on the top floors, with the AC locked at 72. Bring extra towels too as mentioned in another review. Would stay there again!
Clean, spacious beach house perfect for a getaway with friends!
My seven friends and I had the BEST trip to Mashpee at Fanny's house. Fanny was responsive with any questions we had. The house is incredibly spacious - we had originally planned to have 11 of us, but ended up with 8 and the house would've been perfect either way! The first floor of the house has a primary bedroom with a full bathroom en suite and a guest bathroom in the hall. Second floor has a primary bedroom with a full bath, a huge additional full bath in the hall, a bedroom with 3 twin beds, and a pullout couch that we didn't need. The third floor has two rooms with 2 twin beds each.
The kitchen is incredibly well-stocked but organized with things like flour, cooking oil, etc. Outdoor space is wonderful, and beach access was a 4 minute drive or 20 minute walk away! I hope we can come back to Mashpee, loved this house! Thank you, Fanny.
Beautiful, spacious Cape Cod home in an ideal location
Our family had a wonderful 4 day visit to the Cape and loved our stay in this gorgeous Mashpee home! We had so much space and loved how convenient to the public beach, which is beautiful. Fanny was a welcoming host and always available for questions. Thank you Fanny!!! We will return for sure😋
There were no beach towels or anything else that would be handy at the beach. Only one bath towel per person. The sink in the bathroom barely drained. Only one medium-sized fry pan for 8 people. Not enough outdoor seating for 8 people. Screens needed repair.
We went for my sister’s bachelorette for a nice little getaway and this was a perfect spot! We had plenty of places to sleep and it was such a fun time, it’s not far from the beach and it was super clean and easy to find. Fanny answered right away if I had any questions and she was a great host. Highly recommend!!
