In 15 minutes, you can reach the Heavenly Ski Resort (Gondola, Boulder Chair or Stagecoach) for world-class skiing. With a neighborhood permit limiting occupancy to 6 guests overnight and 2 vehicles, this retreat keeps things intimate and relaxed. Douglas County VHR Code of Conduct:
i. Occupancy limits for nighttime (9pm to 8am) is 6 people. For Daytime (8am to 9pm) 12 people. Gatherings and events that exceed the maximum occupancy of the vacation home rental are prohibited and can result in fines of $2,500;
ii. Quiet hours are designated between 9:00 pm and 8:00 am and will be strictly enforced;
iii. Disorderly, lewd, or indecent behavior is prohibited;
iv. Smoking tobacco or marijuana in any areas where the smoke or odors can be detected by neighbors or members of the public is prohibited;
v. The use of Fire pits, including wood-burning fire pits are prohibited, and gas fire pits not be used during red flag warnings;
vi. Parking is limited to two vehicles. They must be parked in the asphalt parking area North of the small garage or along the picket fence in front of the home. Guests must display parking placards on the drivers dashboard of their vehicles. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR PHONE NUMBER ON THE PLACARD. Failure to do so can result in citation and/or fine of $500;
vii. Lake Tahoe area is a bear habitat, and that guests should not feed the wildlife;
viii. All trash must be placed in the metal bear box just south of the small garage. Trash pickup is on Tuesdays. Trash and refuse must not be left or stored on the exterior of the property. Lift handle on Bear box to open and please ensure it is closed properly;
ix. The County may schedule safety inspections, and a requirement that renters and guests must make the unit available for such inspections upon 24 hours’ advance notice;
x. Any other rules and regulations specific to the VHR, as selected by the Owner;
xi. Any other rules and regulations required by the Director, based upon the unique characteristics of the VHR or to address complaints received; and
