We also appreciate you highlighting areas where we can improve. We’re sorry to hear about the loose floorboard, bathroom fan, and key card issue — those have since been addressed to ensure future guests have a smoother stay. We understand that the nearby road construction and lack of clear signage made finding the cabin difficult, and we’re working on better entrance markers to help with that. We truly value your input and hope you’ll consider staying with us again so we can provide you with an even better experience next time.

We’re sorry this guest felt the stay wasn’t a good fit for them, but we’d like to provide some important context for future guests. This home is clearly disclosed in the listing as being located directly next to a road. It is not a major highway—the speed limit is 35 mph—and the tradeoff for this location is direct waterfront access, a private beach, and a price point that reflects that balance. The vast majority of our guests have stayed comfortably and have not had issues with road noise; however, guests who are especially sensitive to sound may find this location unsuitable. Regarding the other concerns: The bathroom window and ventilation issues have been addressed. The bed size is accurately listed, and mattress comfort is inherently subjective. The thermostat was functioning properly at the time of inspection. We always encourage guests to review listings carefully and reach out with questions before booking—especially when location is a priority. This property offers an excellent value for its waterfront location and private beach access, and it continues to be enjoyed by many guests who understand and appreciate what it offers.

Thank you for the review, Kurt. We don't have "welcome binders" at our properties. We do have a one-page Quick Reference Guide with important information for guests. This property is not advertised as having AC and we email guests tips and tricks to keep the home cool. We are sorry you could not locate the tv remote, but I'm happy to see were able to quickly deliver a new remote. Due to California's ban on single use plastic bottles, we no longer supply shampoo and conditioner while we find a permanent alternative. For future guests, we email the check-out instructions the day prior to departure, they are updated and don't require too much. We are sorry to hear you cut your foot on the couch! We will have our Operations Team resolve this issue for the future guest experience.
