Enjoy our own private sand beach with firepit and breathtaking water views. Hang out on one of the four decks and screened porches including the show stopping roof top deck with 360 degree views. On demand hot water means no cold shower. Whether it's relaxing on the sand beach or heading out to one of the local restaurants, breweries, wineries, or local site seeing, this property has everything you need for memory making stay. We had a truly wonderful stay in this incredible house. The place is very well stocked, we didn't lack for anything, the beds were comfortable and there were plenty of them, lots of bathrooms....it is perfect for a crowd. Everyone voted it our best family reunion location so far and we'd love to come back someday!

The host was easy to communicate with and responded promptly. The property was very clean and in excellent condition. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of utensils and supplies for our large group. There was plenty of space for everyone, and we all felt comfortable without feeling crowded. We also enjoyed using the bikes and paddle boats, which added even more fun to our outdoor activities. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this property.

Awesome house, everything was brand new and well appointed. The elevator was really handy and easy to operate, the kitchen was full of cooking essentials, and the screened in deck was great to hang out on. And great wifi! Everything you need if youre doing remote work intermittently during vacation. We had a wonderful stay.

Great home for a gathering

The house was great for our gathering with family of close friends. It was exactly as shown in the picture and had all the conveniences. We had a great time. Would highly recommend it.

Our family of 20, ranging in age from 1-year to 72 years totally enjoyed a perfect week together at the Sandcastle home. Truly, the pictures do not do this home justice! The elevator provided a quick and effortless means to transport luggage to the various levels. Having that extra fridge in the garage enabled us to store food and drink without having to make extra trips to the convenience store a few minutes away or the local Food Lion in town. We kayaked, paddle boarded, floated, sunbathed and fished in the beach area directly in front of this amazing home. The bikes were also an asset. We had a couple concerns and Frank was very responsive and handled the situation promptly. This outdoor shower was helpful in eliminating sand in the home and hot tub. Evenings were spent relaxing by the fire pit with wood provided. We did manage to leave the place and check out Westmoreland State Park, the Northern Neck Brewery. Our family would not hesitate to recommend this fabulous home and plan to return.

Retreat

We had total 18 friends work/play weekend. Beautiful home with so much room to cook, play games, or just need a little me time. Had a great table to sit at and the elevator came in handy. Would definitely stay again

Fun family vacation

We had a wonderful time at this house celebrating our parents 90th birthdays. We had 21 adults and 2 children. There was sleeping room for all with a lot of convertible couches/chairs for extra beds. The kitchen and dining areas accommodated our large group very well. Best of all was the direct access to the beach. We enjoyed sunrises, sunsets and water activities. The screened porch looks directly out to the water which was a nice spot for those who wanted to stay out of the sun.The owner was extremely responsive in answering any questions we had.

Our group of 22 take a Labor Day trip every year and it's hard to find a house that can house all of us, keep the children interested and is comfortable enough for the adults. This place checks all of these boxes! The beach was clean and wonderful for the kiddos. Great for kayaking and paddleboarding but also calm enough for some light swimming! We were able to bike to the community pool which was lovely. The town of Montross was very quaint and bustling during the First Friday's event.We loved this house and the location and the host was very accommodating! We will be booking this again in the future!

This Montross home fit all 22 of us very comfortably! It is well equipped with outdoor furniture and water equipment and the finished bottom floor allowed for kids to have their own space. Plenty of room for all of us to cook and eat together as well. Great for adults and kids.

We really enjoyed the Sandcastle house with plenty of room for a family reunion. Inside the house everything worked really well & it was very roomy & comfortable. Great porch to look at the water! Unfortunately we had a two days with jellyfish and neighbors close by but overall the cousins swam & had tons of fun! Great spot and we would go back Thanks again

The home was very nice overall and served our needs well. Communication with the host was excellent, and they were responsive and helpful whenever we reached out regarding issues during our stay.That said, there were several concerns that impacted the quality of our experience. Upon arrival, we found multiple areas of the property that had not been thoroughly cleaned, including the inside of the washing machine, several kitchen utensils, toilets, and the refrigerator, which contained old food stains and spill marks. We also found a dead bug in one of the kitchen drawers and noticed spiders and cobwebs in multiple areas of the home.We additionally experienced issues with the refrigerator maintaining a consistent temperature. Despite storing food properly, some of our refrigerated items spoiled during our stay.Overall, I would still describe this as a decent stay, particularly because of the home’s amenities and the host’s effective communication and willingness to help. However, the cleanliness concerns and refrigerator issues detracted from what otherwise could have been a much better experience.
