This was a great spot for 5 couples. So peaceful and beautiful! We enjoyed the oversized porch - even in late July! We loved cooking and sharing meals in the large kitchen. Great getaway!

So glad you enjoyed it!! We welcome you back anytime!
Everything was as advertised. We had a great time in the area. Only thing is the toilets were too low, and we had a problem getting up from them. The home had everything we needed for a great stay.
This property was amazing! The pictures do not do it justice whatsoever. It was spotless clean. The kitchen is equipped with everything. It was, unfortunately, too chilly to swim but the water was crystal clear. Our family had ample room to spread out or get together on the back deck. Do not hesitate to book this house. One small suggestion: maybe a laundry basket would be a good addition.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear that your family enjoyed the home and found it even better than expected. We take great pride in keeping the property clean, comfortable, and well-stocked, so it's especially rewarding to know those details made a difference during your stay.
We're sorry the weather didn't cooperate for swimming, but we're glad you were still able to enjoy the beautiful pool area and spacious deck. Thank you as well for the suggestion about adding a laundry basket—that's a great idea, and we'll look into adding one for future guests.
We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you and your family back again soon!
Williams family trip to Magic Springs Water park and Theme Park.We had an amazing stay and would rate this home a 10 out of 10! The house was clean, spacious and easily accommodated our entire family. It was well-stocked with everything we needed, including pots and pans, seasonings, paper products, garbage bags, kitchen towels, and even cleaning supplies like mops and brooms. The host was easy to contact and get a speedy response. Reminders were sent in a timely manner, and instructions were provided throughout the house if you needed to know how to operate the stove, things not to flush, food that you should not put in the garbage disposal. When it was time to check in, that process was extremely simple. Our family especially loved the pool and patio, and we enjoyed several fun movie nights together. The home looked exactly like the pictures in the VRBO listing, which made our arrival even better because there were no surprises. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-equipped place for a family getaway. Thank you for helping make our trip so enjoyable!
Beautiful house! Very clean! LOVED the huge back deck! It was beautiful weather this weekend so we spent a lot of time on the deck! Host thought of every amenity possible!
the space was great for getting away from all other noises. secluded area with an outdoor fire pit that was used nightly. pool was open and very useable but, it was a bit cool. this property worked well with our plans to spend half time at the national park and half at the property.
What a great place to stay with seclusion at its best. The house was large enough for our friend group and have the space to spread out. The home was clean and well stocked. The back patio is a great place to hangout and the fire pit area was a hit. We will be back!
More than I expected. Remote and set in the woods, a very wonderful property. House is perfect for a large family, or multiple friends. Patio is fantastic as is the TV room downstairs. Definitely would recommend.

Thank you!! We would be honored to host you again!
The property was beautiful—the photos didn’t do it justice. However, finding the location was a bit challenging because the GPS directions ended early, and we wandered around for about an hour. Once we arrived, though, the setting was quiet and peaceful—exactly what we needed.
Pros and cons to our 7 night stay in June 2026, with 7 adults and 2 children PROS:-That porch! so comfy & large, the TV outside is a nice touch-loved the pool-kitchen very, very well stocked with small appliances, pots, pans, etc. we had everything we needed! Even had zipper bags, foil, plastic wrap, and a lot of spices!-The beds were incredibly comfortable-The couch was huge and held us all for game nights-fire pit with fire wood stocked-no neighbors, beautiful views-Roku on all the televisions, just log in to your own streaming platforms and watchCONS:-Pool ppl came on Wednesday, and we had no idea who these people that just walked up were since the info book stated cleaned on Fridays. They were very nice and were just doing their jobs. However, they came at noon, and then we had to wait for at least 3 hours after to use the pool. To us, this was prime pool time lost. -Icemaker works but can't keep up with that many people drinking iced drinks in summer, easily solved by us just purchasing bags to keep in freezer -Wifi is spotty, one of the bedrooms couldn't connect and we would randomly lose connection. It is a big house, so understandable-Trash, it is doable, just be aware that guests have to take it to the bins on Tuesday and at end of stay...the issue is that the bins are down what would say is a quarter mile long driveway. We were lucky that one of our group had a pickup truckOverall FANTASTIC house, would ABSOLUTELY stay again and highly recommend!!

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We’re thrilled to hear your group enjoyed the porch, pool, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, game nights, fire pit, and the peaceful setting. We work hard to create a place where families and friends can relax and make memories together, so it means a lot to hear that your group had a fantastic stay!
We also appreciate your feedback on the pool service, ice maker, Wi-Fi, and trash disposal. We agree that better communication regarding the pool maintenance schedule would have been helpful, and we'll make sure future guests are aware of possible service visits during their stay. We'll also review our guest information regarding trash disposal and continue looking for ways to improve the guest experience.
Thank you again for choosing The Ouachita Hideaway. We truly appreciate your recommendation and would love to host you and your family again in the future!

Upon arriving to the house, everything looked great and were as pictured. Around 8:00pm, we noticed that both the oven and the stove were not working. Whenever we tried to contact the host, they were unable to talk over the phone, but they were able to text. They told us that there was nothing that they could do at that hour and told me to use ChatGBT to help problem solve. Chat GBT said that it was a breaker issue and the breaker box is located behind a locked door. The next morning, at 8am, I contacted the host via text to see what time someone would be out to fix the oven and the stove. They told me that they hadn’t received an ETA yet from the service worker and asked if we could use the grill in the meantime. Unfortunately, we had already bought groceries that were not grill friendly and the host told us that the service worker would not be available until the following day between 12-4pm. This caused us to have to buy some electric burners so that we could cook. Then whenever the service worker showed up the next day, it was in fact the breaker box that was thrown due to a storm. My suggestion to anyone trying to book here is to be aware of this issue and know that if it happens to you, it will take a while to get a service worker out there to flip the breaker. So you’ll be without an oven AND a stove. Also, the host never once apologized for the inconvenience or offered sympathy in any way. They were actually quite rude.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m glad you found the home clean and as pictured.
I’m truly sorry the stove and oven issue caused frustration during your stay. When you contacted me that evening, I responded right away and tried to help troubleshoot the issue. After my steps didn’t solve the issue, I suggested ChatGPT since unfortunately, there was no technician available that late at night. I contacted one first thing the following morning and kept you updated as I received information. We were also placed on their urgent list in case an earlier appointment became available.
The technician ultimately found that the breaker had tripped during the storm and was able to get everything working again.
I understand how inconvenient this was, especially after purchasing groceries, and I sincerely apologize for the disruption. It was never my intention for my communication to come across as rude or unsympathetic. I truly did my best to get the issue resolved as quickly as possible.
Secluded property with tons of space inside! We enjoyed everything the house had to offer - comfortable beds, ping pong table, pool, back patio, fire pit and the wildlife. The frogs are LOUD at night but added to the laughs we will remember for a lifetime. It was perfect for our big family stay!
