About this property

Paddlewhack Cabin 5-The Bow

*NEW* Paddlewhacks is a group of 5 cabins nestled along the Big Cypress Bayou towards Caddo Lake. We are right on the water yet a one minute drive into Downtown Jefferson. It is the best of both worlds-unique shopping and restaurants with immediate access to canoeing and fishing. Each cabin has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, open concept living/dining areas, small kitchen, and a front patio. Every cabin comes with a canoe, paddles, life jackets, and access to our group firepit and private kayak ramp.

Paddlewhacks is located on 10 acres in Jefferson, Texas.

Please contact us directly if you would like to rent our whole facility for an event. It would include five cabins that sleep a total of 28 with a Bunkhouse coming soon.

The cabin was exactly like it was described. The room was clean and well decorated. The cabin was right on the river. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony that overlooked the water. We were going to go canoeing, but the canoes were too heavy (for females) to carry to the river. There is some traffic noise, but the view and atmosphere makes up for it. We would definitely go back. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The house was very clean and cute… check in and out was smooth. The owners were very polite and professional. Would definitely stay again. BTW the most comfortable mattresses!!

Amazing location right on Big Cypress Bayou, yet just blocks from downtown shopping & eateries. Traffic noise from Hwy 59 & the ever-present trains during the night, but ya can't beat the handy location. Hosts very friendly & responsive & knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Canoes available, altho you have to carry them to the river; takes a couple fit folks! Overall, location is a great home-base for exploring Jefferson.

So enjoyed our stay. The cabin is very clean and in good repair. Beds are big and comfortable, linens are nice, everything needed is provided, air conditioning is good and cold, and the porch is wonderful for watching the bayou. Ceiling fans on the porch made it comfortable even in the heat of August. Check-in was flawless and the host was helpful answering questions about the area. We enjoyed canoeing on the bayou, and we were even visited by a couple of deer. Only (slight) drawback is traffic noise from a nearby highway, but the peace of the cabin setting makes that a small concern. Lovely place.
