We really enjoyed our stay here. Lovely property with great pools and other amenities. The beach out front is swimmable. Close to many other very lovely beaches. Had a good time.

The view is amazing and really looked the location. The unit has a washer and dryer and beach chairs which we used everyday going to different beaches to snorkel.

The view was great, unfortunately, what we saw was not the prettiest or best part of the beach on the resort, but from the balcony with coffee, the view was perfect. The beach around the corner (to the left) is where we spent much of our time and the pool closest too it was nice and serene, away from all the family bustle. And, the best mai tais to be had at the pool bar. Apartment was well appointed - plenty of towels, all the kitchen tools I need and I'm told the pull out couch was very comfortable.

The place was very adequate for four people although really only seating for three comfortablyin the living area. The unit needs Sirius updating as well as the lanai furnishings.. A nice unit for a family that is looking to have a low cost unit without the amenities of an updated hotel/apartment.. unfortunately we had to exit the unit early due to a knat infestation on the island and inside the unit

Crazy tropical storm Lala but amazing due to amenities provided and a beautiful resort!

We have many stays here booked through the resort. This is our first stay VRBO. We are thankful for this choice as the cooler and other kitchen items provided by the host saved our food during our 22ish hour power outage. We stayed as tropical storm Lala came through and hit the big island as a hurricane ! We love Kaanapali Shores! Everything about our unit was great! Only negative is the second bedroom seemed hot and the pack and play doesn’t come with a sheet. We made do(management suggestion) with the flat sheet for the hide a bed we weren’t using and eventually put a folded up comforter under that for our 20 month old grandson who was struggling with the sleeping arrangements (probably his issue😬). We had reasonable responses from Maui Westshore properties and I’d use them again. The pictures are a little deceptive (large building wall on the left side of the lanai) but the ocean is clearly in view! They also provided tissues, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, hand soap, dishwasher pods, laundry pods, storage containers for food, trash bags, beach toys, beach chairs, cooler bag! Greatly appreciated the high chair! I’d definitely recommend this unit!

Great beach!

The condo was nice and great for my family of four. I liked that my kiddos could each have their own twin bed in the kids room. Condo was stocked with a free bag of coffee, coffee filters, dishwasher pods, laundry detergent & drier sheets and plenty of towels. The beach right outside is great with a tree for shade and good snorkeling too - we saw a giant sea turtle and lots of fish! Not the best location if you want walking distance to the restaurants at whalers village (we drove over there every night for dinner and parked in the parking garage and the restaurants validate for 2 hours). Some VRBO’s let you cancel for money back if needed but the rules for this ones is no money back within 60 days of your trip. We had an issue come up and couldn’t reschedule so I wish that I would have booked through a travel agent instead of directly through VRBO.

The good: This unit is beachfront, with no obstructions between you and the beach view. This unit was spacious. Parking is reasonable at $10.95 per day. The pools and hot tubs were nice. The hotel's public areas were nicely maintained. It is about three hotels away from the beachwalk and easy to get on the walk down to Black Rock. A grocery store is across the street as well. The bad: This unit has been well-loved and is showing its age (i.e. broken cabinet doors, latches etc.) These did not have a big impact on our stay. The unit was clean, but in my opinion, the kitchen could use a good scrub down of the cupboards and hardware. The kitchen could use more dishes, such as serving bowls and plates/bowls, to offset the 30 cups and glasses. We had to run the dishwasher after every meal in order to have serving plates for the next meal. The beach area was nice to look at, but not suitable to set up a chair, as it was not wide. Walking 10 minutes down the beach was necessary to set up chairs. As long as you are aware of the above glitches and can adapt, then I would recommend staying here.
