The" Eaglesnest" Is A High End Cabin Over Looking Rock Creek.
Montana's Rock Creek is a 52 mile long blue ribbon trout stream that parallels the Sapphire Mountains in Southwestern Montana. The terrain ranges from gentle to rugged. If you come you will see snow peaked mountains, vast wilderness, sheer granite cliffs, canyons and most importantly Rock Creek has very cold trout water that house rainbow, cutthroat, brown, white and bull trout. It is a fisherman's paradise. Hunters also come to hunt big game in the fall. My most famous guest was Jim Lovell of Apollo 13 fame. He came hunting in 2013. He liked my cabin and said it beat the moon! We recently added a 12x12 sitting room with a wood stove and made our our porch into an all season porch. My guest love it. Rock Creek has been a ranching, mining, and logging community for over 100 years. Gem Mountain is a world famous sapphire mine that is just 5 miles up the road from the cabin. You can try your luck at mining your own sapphires. In the 1800s many Indian tribes and mountain men had their rendezvous right in our canyon. If you are lucky you can still find Indian arrow heads.
The Eaglesnest is a high end cabin that has it all. It has 1500 sq. ft. of comfort, beautiful paintings, high ceilings, fans, log beams and a stone propane fireplace to cozy up to in the winter. The cabin has 1 half king and 3 queen size very comfortable top of the line Simmons Beauty Rest beds with pillow tops. Our couches and chairs are cloth or leather. Our pub table will seat 6 and the chairs are padded. It has a complete kitchen with quartz counter tops and a microwave and dishwasher.
The upstairs has a kitchen, one bedroom, a large bathroom with shower tub combination, a washer and dryer. The living room has a 40 inch T.V, Wi-Fi, and a propane fireplace.
The down stairs has a family room with a 48 inch T.V. with a blue ray DVD player and lots of movies. The downstairs has two queen beds and half a King and one bathroom. The cabin can sleeps 5.
The large covered porch is great to just sit and listen to Rock Creek or to view the wildlife. We have seen grizzly bear, black bear, bobcats, Mountain lions, wolves, elk, moose and lots of whitetail and mule deer. The large covered porch has a dining set so you can eat outside. There is a large propane grill outside to cook with.
The Eaglesnest is located 18 miles southwest of Philipsburg on the Skalkaho Pass or highway 38. We are 1 mile from the famous "Ranch at Rock Creek". We are 98 miles from Missoula Airport. We have good paved roads all the way.
Discovery Basin Ski hill is 30 min. from the cabin. George Town Lake is 20 min. away and many wilderness trails for hiking are minutes away. Winter or summer there is always something to do.

Absolutely stunning cabin, and great hosts. They supply everything so all you need to bring is food and toiletries. It was an amazing experience coming from Florida. Would definitely recommend 10 out of 10
Cabin was beautiful and well appointed. Host was amazing and was very thoughtful in all that she stocked for her guests. River sounds and fishing was great throughout the day! It’s a must stay if you are ever in the area!

The cabin is immaculate and located in a beautiful area. If you like fishing, Rock Creek is right in front of the cabin and several other fishing access locations are within 15 miles of the cabin. There we also great places to hike near the cabin. Excellent location!

Mona, thank you for such a nice review. I enjoyed having you guys. It was quite a weekend with the cold and all the snow. Glad you enjoyed the cabin. Thanks, Patti
The place was beautiful. Just a short drive to the sapphire mine. We were so busy that we only saw the place to sleep. It was great having 2 bathrooms to get everyone ready in the morning.
I recommend the bakery in Phillipsburg for coffee and breakfast.
Excellent cabin. Beautifully decorated with a relaxing atmosphere. Patti was always around when we had to call about something. The only things negative were that it was close to a road, hiway was in the view, and Rock Creek was not as close to the cabin as the pictures indicated. Still, it was a wonderful stay. Highly recommended.

Fantastic Cabin!
My wife and I stayed at the Eaglesnest cabin for 3 nights while riding atv’s in the Philipsburg area. The owner met us shortly after we arrived and showed us around the cabin. The cabin was very well stocked with everything we needed for our stay, including a new barbecue. We very much enjoyed relaxing on the the deck listening to the creek. I would definitely recommend this cabin for anyone staying in the area. We’ll be back. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us Patti!

This cabin has it all!
This was a well-appointed accommodation with all needs anticipated and provided for and a nice feeling of privacy. We loved the view of the valley from the kitchen table. It was spectacular with the ever-changing cloud formations, sunlight, and shadows playing on the land surfaces.
The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed including spices, coffee, and paper goods, and a fun variety of dishes .We grilled our steak on the outdoor gas grill.
All rooms were comfortable and spacious and had their own adjustable heat. It all felt very luxurious! We enjoyed using the gas log fireplace as it was welcoming on the cool September days.
During our 5 day stay, we did hiking in the nearby national forest, spent time shopping and eating in the very photogenic and historic Philipsburg, and traveled the scenic backroads over the mountain to Hamilton and beyond. We saw quite a few deer and were visited by 5 mountain sheep. It was a treat to be able to stay in this very desirable cabin on its clear little stream in this beautiful part of Montana!

Juli, I am glad you and the family enjoyed the cabin. You know where we are at. Thanks for the review. Patti
Excellent location, pristine cabin and picturesque views. Kitchen well stocked, plenty of towels, bedding, pillow etc. Many personal touches throughout this cozy cabin. Owners were thoughtful and friendly. Pointed us in the right direction for hikes, fishing and entertainment. We had a fantastic time!
The cabin was even better than the description!
Spotless, accommodating and comfortable. Plenty of room for 4 people To spread out. The cabin is right off a paved highway that is NOT busy. No traffic, just quiet with a creek flowing is all you’ll hear. Closest town with stores and restaurants is 20 minutes away in Phillipsburg which is a great little town. Patty was an excellent hostess and helpful in suggestions of where to fish and ride horses. We hope to come back!!
The pictures and description don’t give this cabin it’s due. What an incredible property in every sense of the word. We went mainly for the fishing but the creek was flowing way too fast so it was out of the question. Well, whatever, we still had a magical time. Thank you, Patti!

The cabin was perfect in every way. The location was secluded but beautiful. The cabin itself was everything we wanted. Plenty of seating areas outside so you could pick your view and settle in. There’s a fire pit and grill and plenty of wood provided. The kitchen has everything you
