Mardi Gras Getaway

Beautiful place. Quite neighborhood. Great for a big family or multiple families. Great spot to hang around and shop and eat. Walkable too The Big Chill. Everything was great for a short Mardi Gras weekend with the family. Definitely will stay again.

The team at Kalos was incredible. We had a couple things that needed attention - a door knob fell off, and the garage door quit working - both things were fixed same-day. The house was beautiful and we loved our stay. 10 out of 10 recommend.

Would happily book again. Host provided plenty of beach towels, toys and equipment, including a wagon to put it all in for transport. If you're party is smaller, the provided golf cart is great for getting to the beach, but probably dependent on how much gear you take with you. Our family of 7 (5 kids ages 3-11) found it more convenient to load our vehicle up with the beach gear and drive. The Deer Lake beach access was the most convenient which is a 5 min cart/car drive. Host also provided plenty of indoor activities for kids, which was really nice for moments where storms would pass through or for when breaks were needed from being in the sun. The restaurants (Bill Chill) in the community were a plus as they are within walking distance even for kids. This was important because you're unlikely to find a parking spot by the restaurants in the evenings, even for a golf cart.
