Tandem Cottage: Cozy Coastal Cottage, Short Walk to the Sand!

Summary:
Take a step back in to simpler times. Your family and friends will love this 1950's Fisherman's cottage charmer - a little hidden gem in OBX! The property has been painstakingly renovated to bring back the good ol' days while providing guests with all the amenities of home.

We're dog friendly - WOOF! We do have a two dog maximum policy (no cats, please!), but no additional pet fees. Located across the street from a beach access, the two bedroom, one bath cottage sits on a semi-oceanfront lot. The building has been lifted so you can enjoy views of the sound, catch beautiful sunsets, and watch kite-boarders in the distance. Other property features include WIFI, flat screen TVs (3), a well-stocked kitchen, and a fire pit. 

One of two cottages on site, the property is a part of one of the few cottage courts still existing in Nags Head.

Great communication with Amy…Cottage is very well stocked if you choose to cook. Very clean. Beach is a couple minute walk across the street…..there is a Long Beach mat to assist getting up the dune…. which is helpful …especially if you are working on various pains and other injuries…..beach is very private during the week….a bit more sun people during the weekend. We came to relax so spent time relaxing in cottage…watching sports and such….Living room couch was very uncomfortable….bed was nice….Overall excellent time……would stay again…. again….

The property is a 2 minute walk to touch the ocean, which you can hear from the porches as waves crash. The kitchen has some views of the sound. The property was very clean, and had everything we needed for a 2 night stay (and could have accommodated a full week if we tried). There was abundant natural light thanks to windows every where possible, and the ambient lighting in the house made it feel luxurious. The beds were comfortable, bathroom was clean and tidy, and kitchen had everything we needed and more. Overall, this is one of the best properties we’ve had the benefit of enjoying, and it was a great last minute deal.

This cottage is in the perfect location! Right across the street from beach access and close to all the nice shops. It was pet friendly which was great! The host was amazing and continued to check in throughout our stay. We will definitely be booking another vacation here in the future.

This was a clean and cozy little cottage. Very well taken care of,everything was great .Will be renting this again next year for our vacation, been coming to nags head for years,and this is by far the best home we have ever rented.mikeand lisa checked on us to see if we needed anything the day we checked in ,you don't get that from many property enwers or caretakeres

The check in process was very easy! The home was very neat and the perfect size for myself, my fiancée and our pup! Near all of our favorite obx spots too! We did have an issue with the air conditioner BUT Mike & Lisa responded and had the issue taken care of right away!! Awesome tenants!

This was a lovely place in a lovely location. I stayed at one of the "Just Coast" apartments, which are on the second floor with great light and air. There was a very easy check-in process, the recommendations for food made by the property owner were wonderful, you could walk across the street to the beach, or drive a few minutes to the National Seashore, there were lovely shops and food places nearby, but mostly the very laidback, relaxed, beautiful beachy atmosphere of both the rental and the location were wonderful. Can't wait to stay here again!

Easy and Relaxed Visit of Nags Head

Tandem Cottage was overall a wonderful place to stay and might make it our go to spot for vacation. The place was very clean and updated. Amenities and supplies were plentiful! Definitely the spot to rent for small family getaways with your fur babies.
