James - Thank you so much! Back in the 60's and 70's when we used to come up to this area, my mom would sit on the porch all day reading and I thought "how boring." Now that I'm "old" all I want to do is sit on the porch of this little cabin and read, watch the birds and chipmonks, and hopefully get a glimpse of the resident marmot. I hope to see you again next year!
The place was absolutely fabulous. To standouts. Number one, the fishing is fabulous. What a wonderful river four trout caught. Number two, it was great to have a wood-burning stove in the cabin. A five out of five!

OA, great to hear the fishing was good. The rain has been a welcome relief and has really helped the river. I would love to see you again next year!
This is the most well equipped rental we’ve ever stayed at. Great kitchen, comfortable beds, very clean throughout, decent shower. Library of local interest books. Plenty of frontage on the river for fishing if it hadnt been flowing at 600-800 cfs. Nothing could be done about that. Kimberly was responsive to any questions we had. Beautiful spot and we would certainly stay here again.

Rick - Thank you so much for your kind review. When I first started hosting I tried to think of all of the things that I usually miss in a rental especially good cookware. River was up to almost 2,000 cfs this pm! But you will never hear me complain about rain here or in Texas! I'd love to host you again next year.
Beautiful, rustic cabin. Kitchen well stocked with everything you need for a few days or a week. Just bring food. It is so peaceful and beautiful. The living room is very comfortable to sit and read or watch TV. We didn't turn on the TV because just sitting and talking or reading was enough entertainment. Sitting outside on the doorway area and finishing morning coffee is worth the trip. Walks along the Conejos and on Shorty Lane were very refreshing. Secluded but many day trips available to Chama, Platero and the San Luis Valley. A great place to just relax and enjoy nature.
The Homestead Cabin was charming!! Very clean, well equipped (We couldn’t figure out how to work the oven, but there was a nice microwave and outdoor grill and the stovetop worked well!) The location was perfect. Very quiet and peaceful! A very nice place for sure!! Loved that it was pet friendly as well!! Definitely hope to be back!! Thank you!!

Mary - Thank you so much! I'm so glad that you enjoyed your stay at the cabin. I hope to see you again next year!
We loved the peace and serenity of this cabin. 15 minutes from town if you need supplies or want to go out for a meal. The Conejos River is so beautiful! Host was so accommodating and communicative. The only thing we didn’t love was the temperatures in the cabin overnight as it was warm and no central AC. Being from Texas we are spoiled & used to sleeping cool! The fire ban and river conditions due to drought this year was a bummer but that is just life! We will be back!

Nicole - I love the photos! This is the warmest summer on record for the last 15 years. Fortunately the afternoon "monsoon rains" have arrived to cool things down! I'd love to host you again.
We loved the Homestead Cabin! Check-in was super easy and the kitchen was well equipped with great cookware. Easy access to the Conejos for fly fishing and a playground for our granddaughter!
This was a wonderful little cabin to share memories of the forest, the river, and hikes to the meadow. The cabin was perfect for the gathering. It is well located, well kept and great place to stay.
Beautiful, rustic cabin. Well stocked with all necessities for the stay So comfortable and pleasant. Love the Conejos River Valley. A quiet, peaceful time.
We had a wonderful stay in this nicely appointed cabin despite the rainy weather. The wood stove kept us cozy at night and I particularly appreciated everything provided in the kitchen.
