Beth was amazing from the moment we walked into the home with the gift basket and greeting card waiting for us to the high quality food items in the kitchen and fridge to get our stay started! No corner was cut…perfect!
Great location and exactly as advertised. Plenty of space for us to spread out with nice common areas to come together. We really appreciated the snacks and coffee, plus the A/C was a godsend during our summer visit.
This is by far the best rental home I’ve ever stayed in. The location is central to everything in Colorado Springs, the home was super clean, and Beth, the host, made our stay even better with snacks, treats, and coffee/tea! Plenty of room for our large group of 10! Highly recommend.
Absolutely fantastic stay! One of the best experiences I have had renting a vacation property. The owner was so thoughtful in providing delicious snacks and stocking healthy fresh items, which helped us immensely before we could get to the store and grab our groceries for the stay. The house is more comfortable and spacious than pictures could ever show. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. Excellent location to get around Colorado springs and see the sights. We would love to rent this property again on future visits.
I cannot say enough good things about staying at this house. It’s a beautiful historic home in the best part of town. Beth the owner goes above and beyond. Some examples are having food in the refrigerator and freezer, drinks, and yummy snacks and fruit. We brought our fur babies and she even left sweet new toys and beds. The basement is full of fun things for kids to do also. The house was very clean. The backyard is great and sitting on the large front porch is so peaceful. Highly recommend!
We loved this home. It is spacious yet cozy with bedrooms spread over three levels and plenty of room for the 8 people in our family gathering. The house was incredibly well stocked with lots of fresh food and we were greeted with fresh flowers and a basket of treats. The owner Beth was very attentive. All in all, it was a cut above your usual VRBO experience. We hope to stay here again!
Our family has stayed in many rental homes, but this is one of the best ever. If you’re lucky enough to get a reservation, I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Absolutely beautiful home with plenty of space, stocked with everything we needed, and extra goodies! Wonderful for kids — many special kid spaces and toys! Yard was perfect for dogs.
This property in located in the Old Town area of Colorado Springs. It’s convenient to many attractions of the area, and we really enjoyed the neat architecture of the homes, as we walked around the neighborhood. We’ve stayed at many VRBO properties over the years, and this is one of the best for how well it’s stocked. It’s a very comfortable place, and one feels right at home during the stay.
Staying at the Sumac Inn was a far better experience than expected. So many nice small touches made the experience one we will always remember. Highly recommended!

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay James! I love hosting families and know the place you stay is a critical element of an enjoyable vacation. You are welcome again, any time!
This house was fantastic for our family Christmas celebration. A great size for all of us to gather. Well stocked with every provision we would need. The host was so gracious and helpful and accommodating to us. We will return!!!
This was our second trip to this property and we never once said, “It was better last time” or, “ We should have tried a new place.” Beth is the best host, bar none.
Whoever is reading this, book this place. Lots of room and great historic place. Beth was easy to work with and provided all info we needed for our stay. Checkout sheet was short and quick. Great neighborhood and close to many tourist places. Shopping less than a mile and medical center even closer(thankfully we didn’t need it). Five stars for the Sumac Inn.
We were so comfortable in this great home that is so close to all the wonderful places in Colorado Springs that people want to visit. The owner was easy to communicate with and had the kitchen stocked with unexpected extras. Very comfortable beds. We loved the huge front porch & the back deck & very comfortable and large living room. If ever we need a large home when visiting Colorado Springs, I hope we can get this one again.
Great house for a group of old college friends in their 50s who'd come to town on the heels of a football game. Lots of room. Super clean. Really well outfitted and comfortable furniture. Plenty of room, too, so nobody was on top of anybody else. So nice to have snacks. And great communication with Beth. Thanks for a great stay.
We had a great experience renting this house. Plenty of room for lots of family. Downstairs basement was perfect for our teens. Front porch was the best! Wonderful, walkable neighborhood and about 20 minutes to the academy. Owner left snacks, fruit and items in the fridge for us to use. This was so nice and appreciated.
Beth is a host in the truest sense of the word, not just an owner renting her house. She makes her house feel like a home. Interesting furniture and decor. Well stocked pantry, refrigerator and freezer. Her home has everything you could want or need and then some. Out of the ordinary snacks and gourmet breakfast items. Great location.
Wonderful location, the host was fantastic. Even provided breakfast items for us to enjoy. As well as snacks for the whole time we were there. Plenty of room to have privacy for three couples. The only disappointment was two of the bedrooms televisions would not work. In a way that might be a good thing as it did make us stay closer together. I would highly recommend this place.

I am so glad you enjoyed your stay! I am sorry I was unaware the upstairs TV remote needed it's batteries replaced. I reprogrammed the main floor bedroom's remote just as soon as possible when you reported it wasn't working. I am very sorry that was a source of frustration.
Beth is a thoughtful and gracious Hostess. In her well stocked kitchen, she included special food items for one in our group who had food allergies! The location is lovely and quiet, with great parks nearby and all of the "must see" sites within easy driving distance. The kids LOVED the basement and all of its games and art supplies. The adults enjoyed sitting on the back deck in morning for coffee and evening for wine. We've already recommended this home to several of our friends, and we look forward to staying there on our next trip to Colorado Springs.

Thank you for such a thorough and kind review. Since I have Celiac disease, I try to be contentious about offering safe and healthful groceries and snacks for guests, as well as some of my favorite local items like Noosa yogurt and Colorado Honey. I loved hosting your group and look forward to having you again!

I love being with my family, whether I'm cooking a favorite meal, reading together, watching old movies together or working on a project. Family is my greatest pleasure.
I grew up in Colorado Springs' Old North End and know just about every nook and cranny of this awesome city.
Why they chose this property
Colorado Springs has attractive features unlike anywhere else.
Many know that Colorado Springs is home to Pikes Peak, the Air Force Academy, Olympic Training Center, Broadmoor Hotel and so forth, but the character and thought that were given to this great city by its founders can only be experienced - not described by its land marks. The broad avenues and tree-lined streets of the Old North End are a perfect example.
The climate, outdoor activities, and year-round, natural beauty make it a wonderful place to vacation any time of the year.
What makes this property unique
I chose this home because of it's beauty, character and versatility. From the curved front staircase to the adorable half-story bedrooms, it is not only charming and unique, but holds a surprise in nearly every room.
As neat as the house is, the location is just as exceptional. You'll enjoy walking around the historic neighborhood under stately trees, admiring the variety of turn-of-the-century homes. (Be sure see Wood Avenue aka "Millionaire's row", just one block to the West. This is where many of the largest and oldest homes of the Springs are located.)
Wonderful parks, downtown, groceries and our favorite drive-in are all within walking or bicycling distance.
