Welcome to our unique lake house set on 10 quiet acres in Northwestern New Jersey

Our property is a lovely escape, located 50 miles East of New York City. You can enjoy the private lake, private beach, large back yard, and beautiful views from the house itself.

Built in the 1920's as a summer escape for city dwellers, the 3 bedroom house is simple, serene and kept in a minimalist style.

Proximity to Perona Farms was GREAT,The property was rustic, spacious and charming.The view was serene!Felt the stress melt away in this peaceful setting.We traveled with 4 adults and a dog.The owners were responsive and easily reached.The beds were amazingly comfortable.I loved the vibe, cool, eclectic, chill and comfortable.Whatever brings you to Newton you would be happy to stay here.

Great property

Great weekend stay! Stayed with family and dog and it was a great property. Beds were super comfortable. Host was great with communication and very accommodating. Would be ideal if the shower in the second bathroom was fully functional, only shower was in a bedroom. A regular coffee maker would be great, espresso and our over are available but when first waking up I prefer something quick and easy.

Wedding weekend/beat the heat get away

While my daughter attended a wedding at lake Mohawk we babysat our infant granddaughter - stayed the week to enjoy some fishing and canoe/kayaking on the private lake- house is as pictured and place has a very cool vibe to it! Beds were comfy- plenty of towels - and very peaceful and relaxing! Saw plenty of deer/rabbits/a gopher/ and even had a sighting of the neighborhood bear family (which stayed a good distance away but could be seen walking through the nearby outline of the woods!) Neighbors who have lived there for years were friendly and told us the bears have been there longer than any human resident and there has never been any issues with them) We loved it!
