Although the weather did not fully cooperate and it took a little longer to make it up to the property than we were hoping, the owners were more than accommodating and helped make our trip enjoyable. The property looks and feels brand new and was stocked with everything (and then some) you would need during your stay. The location and outdoor space right off the back of the property was a favorite for the kids and relaxing in the hot tub at night was awesome. We will definitely be booking again!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Our stay was for July 6-21. I will start with the positives. Our communication for booking was quick and very responsive. The check in was great and the keyless entry was convenient. The property was super clean and well appointed. Each bedroom was decorated nicely. The King bed was very comfortable with nice bedding. The bathrooms had full sized amenities and new towels. The smart TV was very large and included every channel you could want. Now to the negatives which is why I gave it 2 stars. The description says "cabin in the forest", however it is a duplex with a shared wall. There is no dining table only a bar height counter with low, counter height bar stools. The deck is not "private" as we could see 4 other decks while sitting in the lounge. There is seating for 4 outside with no dining table either. The duplex is off of Continental on a "street" which is actually a long drive that dead ends at a the grouping of 5 duplexes. So there is literally no street to park on and this unit would fit 2 cars max. If you go in the summer the AC is only effective in the lower level where it works great! But upstairs where all the bedrooms are as well as any TVs, it is impossible to get a cross breeze due to the shared wall. We tried everything! It was quite warm. The ceiling fan was a saving grace. But the loft was not a place we sat due to the warmth. I say these things as something I would have liked to know before renting. It is probably perfect for a winter or a short stay.

Why they chose this property
We fell for this pocket of Flagstaff the moment we saw it — a quiet, heavily wooded cul-de-sac of just eight homes tucked between the Aspen Valley and Continental Country Clubs. Tall pines surround the property, so you wake up to filtered morning light, birdsong, and the smell of the forest rather than traffic. It feels genuinely secluded, yet you’re two minutes from the golf course and clubhouse, seven minutes from historic downtown Flagstaff, and ten minutes from NAU.
What we love most is how the area changes with the seasons. In winter, Arizona Snowbowl is a 20-minute drive and the neighborhood goes quiet under fresh snow. In summer, it’s a cool, pine-scented escape from the Phoenix heat — often 25 to 30 degrees cooler. And because Flagstaff is the world’s first International Dark Sky City, the stargazing right from the deck is unreal. It’s the rare place that works for a ski trip, a golf weekend, a Grand Canyon basecamp, or just slowing down in the trees.
What makes this property unique
This cabin hits a balance that’s genuinely hard to find here: real luxury and total privacy, without giving up convenience. You’re surrounded by forest on a private cul-de-sac, but steps from the golf course and minutes from downtown and NAU.
