The property was just as listed and described. The location was perfect and quiet, but centrally located to all of the activities we did!

Quiet beach retreat
We’re so glad we found this place! The area has a very busy Main Street and finding something that’s not just a hotel room and off the main, noisy drag is challenging. Nothing fancy here, but it’s a quaint, small cottage with everything we need.
Great location and good house. Only thing we had that we wish would have been better is the wifi. You cannot watch videos or hold online meetings. The master bedroom doesn't have air conditioner so it is hot during the day and most of the night. The owner is very nice and communicate very well. We had a problem with the water temperature on the bathtub and he came right over. Great place to stay and beach is across the street.

Liked: Property conditions & facilities, communication
Easy walking distance to the beach and close to shopping. The cottage is ... quaint. It reminds us of the old beach cottages, built maybe in the 50's?, and repaired over the years to stay comfortable. Although I wouldn't call it pampered luxury by any measure. And there are some minor quirks, like the low, soft-seated couch that's a little tough to get out of, the slippery tub (but with a unique, clamp-on grab handle) and bathroom sink handles that turn on the opposite way from what you're used to (no biggie). But it's a great beach place to hang out, especially for the price! We liked it.

Perfect for the two of us:)
Adorable, quiet cottage behind another rental unit. Other renters are there all winter, they are super nice. Felt very safe and had everything we needed. One trip to Publix for groceries and you’re all set. One tv in living room with cable and a ROKU if you didn’t bring your own, which we did. Booking for next year, so don’t steal our spot;).
First of all we arrived around 11:30 pm after a late flight. No lights on the whole property, unit b sits down a dark side walk, no porch lights whatsoever. After unsuccessfully finding lock box, no one from property management would respond, the local contact kept his phone on do not disturb the whole trip.
Once we got in we were disgusted by the overall uncleanlinesses of the cottage, filth on baseboards, bathroom and sand on the couches. The second bedroom had a pull out bed with no sheet so my handicapped son had to sleep on a beach towel. The master bedrooms mattress was extremely hard and lumpy in the middle I had to sleep on couch the majority of the trip. The next night we washed our bathing suits the old worn out dryer was so loud we couldn’t watch a movie or have a conversation let alone sleep. The dryer is much older and displays is broken held on by packing tape,(not the newer model in pictures on Vrbo add).
The kitchen said well equipped. No pot holders, baking pan s only a couple forks and a couple plates. My wife had to use pots in stead of pans to cook chicken. We contacted local contact and eventually he brought a sheet set and pot holders, had towels . A few days later he had to bring trash bags do too only having one for a family of 4 for a week. The mini refrigerator is smaller than photo in add shows.
The bathroom not only dirty but the shower had zero pressure and no warm water just a boiling hot or ice cold no in between.
You couldn’t close bedroom doors at night because the a/c wouldn’t get in rooms.
The outdoor patio area is over grown with grass and weeds, moldy/mildewed privacy fence the chairs and tables we severely rusted.
We have contacted both the local contact and main agency with our complaints even sent an email including photos to Vrbo with no response. After reading the smart aleck responses from property management from other reviews left here we decided to document everything, and one thing that stands out about their response to said negative reviews is the fact management made mention to sand left from family from a previous stay, well since a broom wasn’t left in the fully equipped kitchen it’s hard to sweep up stand. So we highly recommend staying away from this nightmare cottage. I also look forward to evolve’s rude, back biting response to this review. Also if you would like to see true pictures of this cottage you can contact me at madkins5072@yahoo.com
The property is perfect. It was 2 adults and 2 teens and the space fit us perfectly. It also has a fenced yard so we were able to bring our dog as well. This cottage is located right a crossed from the beach and walking distance to all the restaurants and shops on the boardwalk.
This was the first time I brought my children to Florida. Everything was perfect and now they love going to Florida as much as I do. The only thing that could have been better is the second bedroom was so hot.

Cottage Sweet Cottage
We could not have been any more pleased with this sweet cottage. It accommodated my family of four plus fur child perfectly. The cottage is set back a ways from the road which is different see much in terms of traffic. It's enclosed yard is perfect for families with small kids or those bringing along pets. There was plenty of room for everyone. So many fond memories were made. Herman was fantastic and just so accommodating. With a 20-month old he allowed me some flexibility with checkin so naps and schedules were not disrupted. We can't wait until our next trip.

DISGUSTING AND FILTHY
This property is filthy and run down from the front door to the back yard. No secure lighting down the pathway, rusting patio furniture with goopy dirt on it. A bathroom so filthy it looked like it hadnt been cleaned for months dried blood on comforter. There is obvious signs of neglect when it comes to maintaining this property. Blinds are bent and broken. Just overall so poorly maintained. Rats running a muck in yard. Spend a bit more and know your getting a solid place. Do not book with Home Away they then transfer your reservation to EVOLVE who will do nothing about your horrible stay except tell you the owner is right!

Bruna, we welcome and appreciate constructive feedback, however, we and the homeowner do not believe this feedback is warranted. The homeowner would like to deliver the following message:
"Thank you for staying with us on your recent trip to Treasure Island and thank you for pointing out to us and the vacation rental community that we can only satisfy 99.9% of our guests.
I was very pleased that you stayed in our cottage for your entire reservation and experienced none of these concerns while you were here despite my several attempts to contact you by phone and text as I do with all our guests to ensure their safe arrival and to answer any questions. I was also very happy to see how much you enjoyed the beautiful Treasure Island beach as evidenced by the pile of beach towels, shells and sand you left throughout the cottage after you checked out on the last day of your reservation.
Although you seem to have had a very peculiar change of heart upon your return to Canada, I can only surmise that your tone and frustrations are actually a form of separation anxiety from the beautiful, calm and sunny Florida beach vibe you soaked up while on vacation with us.
That is completely understandable, this is why we have so many repeat guests. I read your comments very carefully and struggled to agree with any of your statements.
It's OK if the margaritas and fresh seafood may be to blame, but your comment about lack of communication seemed off base and caught my attention since I remember vividly that on 3/22 at precisely 1:50PM EST, I called and spoke with you. As I recall, we had the most charming conversation where I explained that sadly, we don't have any bikes or carts on the property but you and your family are welcome to use our beach towels and beach chairs so you would not have to rent any on the wonderful public beach (which as you know, is only a 2 minute walk from our cottage. I also recommended our hidden treasure, John's Pass Boardwalk with the seemingly endless amount of restaurants, shops and water activities. You sounded so excited on the phone, I sincerely hope you were able to spend time there.
I'd like to think that we and the entire community of Pinellas gulf beaches are friendly, accommodating and committed to your safety and satisfaction with our little slice of heaven that we are so happy to share with you.
We would welcome you with open arms to stay again with us and would provide you with the same high level of attention, cleanliness and enjoyment that you and your family appreciated while staying with us. Take care and come back soon!"

Cute cottage in a great location.
We rented this cottage for a 6 day stay in Treasure Island. It is in a great location! 5 minute walk to the beach, grocery, shopping and restaurants nearby. It is a quick drive to John's Pass and about 30 minutes from Clearwater Beach and Tampa.
I did notice from another reviewer that the front bedroom was bright and it was. Our teenagers were in that room so it helped us by getting them out of bed before noon. Maybe some shades would help that but not a big deal.
The kitchen was well stocked with supplies. We did use it after a day of fishing and we also used the washer/dryer. That was a great perk when we got back from the beach to wash all our towels and suits. They had some beach chairs that we did take to the beach but they also rent chaise lounges, umbrellas & cabanas on the beach. The sun is hot so I recommend bringing cash to the beach for an umbrella. You can see an amazing sunset from the beach then head to dinner close by.
Herman was very helpful before we arrived. He gave us all the information we needed to have an enjoyable stay. Overall had a great time, great cottage, good location, we hope to be able to stay again in the future.

Cute private cottage
We loved staying here. Great location. You can walk to beach and fishing on the dock. The surrounding neighborhood has lots of character and it was fun to feel a part of it for the week. The cottage is not fancy so don’t expect frills but it’s clean, safe, private and very relaxing.

Very convenient to the beach and nearby family
Cottage is nice. All amenities were there. Was clean and bed was comfortable. My only suggestion would be a shelf in the bathroom to place toiletries like tooth brush, etc and a different floor cleaner, combined with the humidity made for a sticky floor. Otherwise the place was very nice and quiet and right across from the beach.

Dirty property! Needs cleaning!
Well..lets go with the positive first.. great location. Close to beach. Air works great.
Now negatives....master bed is like a rock, unit not clean, no window covering except blinds which allow lots of light in... so no sleeping in. Unit was dirty. Needs a deep deep cleaning. Needs a tv in the master bedroom. Needs to clean outside of fridge, outside of cabinets and stove. Bathroom needs a deep cleaning too. Overall I would not recommend this property to anyone.

Response from VrboOwner on 20 March 2020
Sarah, thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We passed your concerns along to the home owner who assured us cleanliness is a top priority. The owner did let us know that he calls all travelers before they check in and before they check out to see if there is anything that is needed. Although the firmness of the bed was mentioned, the owner is surprised to hear you found it dirty. Any in house issues can be managed quickly as long as the owner is made aware. Anything that needs a deeper clean or second look will be corrected moving forward. We look forward to hosting you again soon. Best, the Evolve Team

Cute little beach house!
My family of 3 stayed here for a week. We loved the area. The house is in a great location, within walking distance to the beach, John's pass boardwalk and many other places. There is a dock at the end of the road we fished off of. Its in a nice quite neighborhood (we took many walks around exploring) everyone was friendly, the place is clean, comfortable and had plenty of room for us. The manager was quick to respond to any of our needs and very friendly. Even though we preferred St. Petes and Pass-a-grill beaches, we would stay here again simply because of the neighborhood and location to restaurants, shops etc. We had a chance to stay in both unit A and unit B due to a minor leak from Tropical storm Colin. Even though we had 3 people, we preferred unit A (1 bedroom) over unit B. It is located in the front so you can see the road and seemed to have more space, larger bathroom, kitchen and living room and had a full sized stove. We probably would just bring an air bed for the 3rd person .
