Beautiful sunny home

We loved out stay on Johnston Lane. The house is beautiful and spacious with all amenities a family could need. We bought our dog and took morning and evening walks down the quiet street. The house is a short walk to the beach and easy access to anywhere in the Outerbanks. Highly recommend staying here.

Spectacular stay...beautiful house.

The house is gorgeous!! It is nicely decorated and was very clean. There is plenty of space and the neighborhood is super quiet. The best part was the host. Kallie is a wonderful host. She gave lots of suggestions for things to do and places to eat. She was incredibly accommodating and super friendly. The only bad part are the sand spurs!! However, they are miniscule annoyance because this place really is absolutely gorgeous.

Fun, Easy, and Pleasant

We spent Fourth of July weekend here. Kallie was an amazing host. She would check-in with us on the app and gave amazing suggestions on where to eat and enjoy fireworks. She does stay on the property, but we didn't notice her as she kept to herself. Some of my family members had the pleasure of meeting her and had nothing but nice things to say. The home is very beautiful and well taken care of. There was plenty of space for everyone to lounge and sleep. Everyone was able to comfortably sleep in separate rooms and have their own space. We enjoyed our stay and are grateful for her lending us her home.

This place is absolutely amazing. It’s gorgeous and has everything you need. The beach cart was so nice to have to walk to the beach. The walk is super easy, took us about 8 minutes. The outdoor shower was a favorite and many of us would use it instead an indoor shower. The porches are amazing for lounging outdoors and enjoying nature and the firepit is a nice touch. It’s a quiet residential street the hosts are super nice and quickly communicate. We breezed through our drive and arrived a bit earlier than expected. Our host was able to (last minute) accommodate our earlier arrival. This house has plenty of space for the entire group. We can’t wait to go back and will definitely stay here again!

1st OBX Beach trip for the family.

Overall it was a pleasant vacay. Just didn’t know about the apartment that was directly beneath the house until we arrived. The outside tub is by a window that is occupied by the apartment and there was no shower curtain around it like pictured in the listing, so needless to say but we did not use that space. The outside play area and fire pit is also the area for the apartment to allow their dog to go to the bathroom. This was a bit of an issue because the children ages 3, 5&6 had to have constant reminding to watch out for dog poop as to not track it into the house.This hindered their ability for free play. Other than those things, this property was reasonably priced, had plenty of room for our large group and the location was great.The owners of the house are very sweet people and were amazing to communicate with. They were very helpful in giving us ideas about some of their favorite places to visit and eat at.

Thank you so much for staying with us.The outside tub is by the lower level bedroom that is a part of the house and not the apartment.The apartment is a completely different area and does not have any view of the bath tub what so ever.We are making shutters to that window as well as the curtains are hanging up now!Thank goodness the cold weather has finally gone!Alice the overly friendly dog is usually not at the place and 90% of the time neither are we.We all travel and work out of town for the summer.We were not home from the last renters yet.I apologize for the dog matter from the previous renters.We don’t like doing that either!I am so sorry for that.I hope the rest of your stay was amazing and you enjoyed all the amenities of the cottage.
