About this property
Mountain Home Next to Ski Slopes
Welcome to Beech Mountain Place!
Beech Mountain Place, formerly Beech Side Chalet, is an ideal location for hitting the slopes in any season. Located 0.3 miles from the Beech Mountain Resort, it is a 5-minute walk or 2-minute drive to enjoy winter snow activities or summer mountain biking on the slopes. Mountain biking, hiking, walking, fishing, sledding, and more are available to you on Beech Mountain and in the village with fun shops, restaurants, putt-putt, weekend concerts, and more. The charming mountain town of Banner Elk is about five (5) miles away and offers a downtown with many open-air markets and craft fairs, great shops and restaurants, fun parks, and more. Boone and Blowing Rock are both about twenty-five (25) miles away. Seven Devils, about fifteen (15) miles away, offers Otter Falls trails and Hawksnest Resort for snow tubing and zip lines. The village of Valle Crucis features an incredible riverfront community park, as well as the famed Original Mast General Store, which dates back to the mid-1800s. Grandfather Mountain is less than fifteen (15) miles away. Sugar Mountain is about ten (10) miles away. The Elk, New, and Watauga Rivers are all nearby! Also, only a few miles away on the backside of Beech Mountain is Buckeye Lake and Recreation Center, which is open to the public. The lake is there for fishing, canoeing, paddle boating, and more. The recreation center offers a variety of fun activities, including sporting fields and indoor and outdoor basketball courts.
The main level of Beech Mountain Place offers a wonderful surrounding view from the wall of windows. The cozy living room is relaxing, with reclining leather furniture arranged around a stacked-stone gas fireplace and a mounted big-screen TV with live TV and streaming options. The living room flows into the well-equipped kitchen and dining area. The main floor deck will be a favorite place for the view and mountain air, with a gas grill, outdoor dining, and seating area.
The main level features two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king bed, a TV, and an ensuite bathroom. The guest bedroom has a second king bed, a TV, and in-room access to the main floor Jack-and-Jill bathroom.
The lower level offers an open space with hooks and benches, perfect for storing gear, shoes, and coats, and a fully equipped second kitchen. The lower level bedroom, in conjunction with the kitchen, provides a second living area with sleeping for five in a king bed, twin-over-twin bunk, and a queen futon. The room has a large-screen TV, games, and books. The lower level deck has a covered porch swing, seating, and a cornhole game.
Gather together under the stars at the fire pit. Wildlife often gathers to graze on the sloping lawn below.
Additional amenities at Beech Mountain Place include heating, a washer and dryer, high-speed internet, and live TV. Pets are not allowed. Winter travelers should come prepared for inclement weather with AWD or 4WD vehicles. The front entrance brings you into the lower level, where stairs then lead to the main level living area. Beech Mountain Place was formerly known as Beech Side Chalet, a name that many past guests have come to love and look forward to booking again!
PLEASE NOTE: There is 1 mini split on the main level above the coffee bar and 1 mini split in the lower level bedroom.
