Walk out to your own private boat dock right on Flathead Lake.... Bring your water toys! Great views of Big Mountain ski area to Glacier Park to Bigfork & the Missions Mountains. Central location on Flathead Lake's west shore south of Lakeside, this one bedroom, cozy log cabin has a King bed, kitchen, shower, woodstove & a futon couch to sleep 4 comfortably. No boat of your own? We also have a canoe, 2 kayaks and 2 paddleboards available for your use!!! Owners live in the house on the adjacent lot with separate boat dock.

If you are looking for a peaceful get-a-way or an 'on the water' sporting water vacation.....This Flathead Lake location has it! With private boat dock, there is plenty of room for boats or jetskis! Flathead Lake is like a small ocean, lots of wide open space for everyone! If the mountains are for you - Blacktail ski area is minutes away or pack your lunch & hiking boots to test the trails of Big Mountain, Glacier Park, Jewel Basin or Swan River Trail. In Winter, both Blacktail and Big Mountain offer great snow skiing! Just two miles to the town of Lakeside, stop to enjoy fine dining, fun shops, the local bars, boat cruises from the bay. Cherry season is the end of July, first part of August - orchards are within walking distance!

Head north to Glacier National Park, 40 miles, (hiking, scenery, wildlife, lakes), with a stop at the water slides along the way for the young-at-heart! For the culturally inclined, BigFork has the Summer Playhouse with different live shows nightly, only 20 minutes by car. Fine dining, quaint shops, museums & the marina are also attractions. Log Cabin Adventures

Had an amazing time at Flathead Lake in Lakeside! It was our first time in Montana and we stayed at the cabin for the 2nd half of the trip. We had some awesome lazy days on the lake, it was gorgeous and the hosts were great! Our son loved playing on the lake and on the raft. We will definitely stay again!

There wasn't enough sunlight from cabin = lots of trees. steep decent down to water. very spotty wifi. Hard to find location. loss electricity with lighting storm...not the problem - expected, but the water was ran by electricity and we had no running water. left and returned home.

Super disappointed with the cabin. Not paddleboard(s) as there is only 1, all of the kayaks and everything super dirty. Got charged for the blind that was already broke when we got there, trees growing in blocking the view. No signage to get to location as there’s a ton of other houses around. And so many other things! Would not suggest!

Great location. Not set up well.

The floor was covered in gray hair. The kitchen was poorly stocked. The sliding screen door was full of holes and was never on its track and therefore was useless to block bugs from entering. There were not enough towels, especially considering there is no laundry on site. The owners charged us for pre-existing damage to a kitchen cupboard door.

Lakeside cabin with multiple karens

Absolutely beautiful property with a nice dock. Visited with my family for 5 nights this summer. Cabin is just slightly sparse on a few things like a can opener and some essentials for cooking like oil and sugar, but overall the cabin was satisfactory for us. The only problem with this cabin is that bit is sandwiched really closely between 3 houses and all of the homeowners are extemely uptight. At least once per day one or more neighbors would saunter over to tell us something we were doing wrong. Like the dog barked too early in the morning, resulting in a “complaint,” another neighbor told us we were not allowed to have a fire in the fire pit (the owner did not me ruin any restrictions). Even if my dog was silent and just in sight of the property line, causing their dog to bark, they would freak out. Sadly all of the uptight neighbors kind of ruins the lake experience. Also the two paddle boards they have for use both leak pretty badly and the owner’s son’s girlfriend came over and stole the slightly better one for the full first day of our stay anyway. So don’t count on using any of the watercraft that they advertise.

Nice View of Flathead Lake

Booking the cabin was seamless. Directions to the cabin were very good. From the outside the cabin is delightful and the view lovely. A bottle of local wine and candy was left with an information binder for us by owner. Railing on the cabin porch was very unsteady and needed repair. Interior amenities, we felt, were very outdated/used and lacking. Internet connection never functioned after multiple tries, multiple passwords and messages with owner. Expired food was left in pantry and old half eaten container of ice cream in freezer. Skillets and pans were dirty from previous use and had to be scrubbed with SOS pads before use. Bed was very uncomfortable and linens old and worn. (This we considered the worse thing, as at the very least, guests expect a comfortable bed.) Toiletries in bathroom had been used previously, the mats and towels were old and worn. The owner did stop once to say hello and was cordial, but offered no help when advised again of internet connection problem. Guests should be advised that there is no TV or internet at this property, in advance of booking. Although our stay in the Flathead Lake area was good, because we were out touring all day, each day, we felt the cabin, with a few minor enhancements by the owners could have been much nicer and more aligned with what we have experienced at similar places.

Wouldn't Recommend it!

We would not recommend this place and had a horrible experience with the landlords of this property. Many shortcomings and it is important for people to know! The previous reviewers must have very low standards! When you are paying a lot of money like we did, you expect a really nice place, this does not deliver. However, what really upset us was the landlords kept more than half of our damage deposit for their already in disrepair dock and accused us of damaging it! Completely, 100% false, in fact we noticed the rotting falling apart wooden dock our first night and just chalked it up to the neglect we had seen throughout since our arrival. This place is in need of work. Here are some very important things renters NEED to know. -The cabin is right next door to the owners, no privacy -Awful bed, hardly slept, pillows as thin as paper -Cabin doors do not lock -No outdoor grill. They had a dirty small portable BBQ left of on the deck, one you'd have to crouch to use. Too dirty to use and for $2000+ rental we expected a full size and clean BBQ -Dead bug/flys behind the blinds on the sliding glass door -Inside of the drawers with utensils was very dirty -The outdoor deck and chairs we dirty and dusty and had to be wiped down -Lots of dog poo we had to navigate around the cabin -No firepit -No instructions on what was expected of us upon check out ( garbage, lock up, etc) we weren’t sure what to do. They say it is because they were away when we checked out, however one might expect some sort of protocol to be provided. The bottom line is, the cabin is in a nice location and thats about it. The experience we had with the owners accusing us of damage to their dock and keeping more than half of our damage deposit was so upsetting and forced us to write this negative review. I shared our thoughts on the cabin (as above) with the owners in the hopes to help them out with future rentals and I didn’t plan to write a negative review as it’s not my style however after I shared my thoughts privately they informed us they were keeping 75% of our damage deposit and relentlessly accused us of damage to their dock. I can tell you, we are experienced boaters and there is NO way this rotting dock got damaged because of us, absolutely NO way. It was rotting and falling apart long before we arrived. After the short comings of the cabin itself and then, them accusing us of damage was so awful and left us with a really bad experience. We had to warn renters.

Perfect Retreat

The cabin was everything we expected and more. Even though there are other residences close by you would never know it. The quiet was exquisite and the view perfect. The cabin itself was very clean and had plenty of amenities. We brought some food with and didn't want to leave the rest of the time. I couldn't ask for more.

Unforgettable

Melanie and Joe's little cabin by the lake was everything we were looking for. The feeling of seclusion but close to everything. Woke up with deer in the front of the cabin almost every morning. Best time that we will remember forever!! My boyfriend proposed during our stay and Melanie left us a bottle of champagne on the front porch for us to celebrate...SO SWEET!! We will be back again and again!

Great lakeside stay

We had a wonderful time on the lake. The cabin was cute and sufficient for me and my wife, with everything needed for a pleasant stay. The highlight was the private dock and water toys (kayaks, SUPs and a canoe.) Great views from the dock, and close to town for whatever you need. Matador, the owners' super friendly German Shepherd, regularly came by to make sure we were having a good time!

Fantastic cabin getaway

Great Montana cabin on the lake. Beautiful property, the pictures don’t really do it justice. Very peaceful & quiet. We enjoyed the sunny dock, kayaks and paddle boards. Spent time with family and enjoyed all the area has to offer. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful, relaxing, lakefront property

We've had a wonderful time at this beautiful lakefront property. The cabin is comfy, quaint, quiet, and peaceful.. It has rustic charm along with modern touches and comforts. The views of lake are incredible from anyplace on the property. Sitting on our private dock sipping a glass of wine in the evening was especially enjoyable. Melanie is a wonderful host and she did everything to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We would definitely stay again and would recommend this property.

Lakeside oasis

Wonderful lakeside cabin. We took advantage of the paddle board and kayak. Matador the dog was a major highlight. Cabin was spotless and as advertised. WiFi didn’t work but we were prepared and owner was responsive. We appreciated the huckleberry bark and honey gifts and the coffee that others left. Refrigerator was immaculate! I have never seen a cleaner ‘fridge. Take advantage of the owners’ directions, gps would not have been enough for us. We would definitely rent this cabin again.

Fantastic! Definitely God's Country.

We loved Montana. We spent most of our time at Glacier National Park, which was an hour away. The cabin was very clean and the views from the dock were spectacular. We went kayaking one day. Seen a bunch of deer on the road into the cabin. And ospreys and eagles.We did the sunset cruise on the lake which was very nice. My only recommendation would be to clear some of the smaller trees and vegetation because the views from the house are limited. But other than that it was perfect. Lake water was crystal clear.

Why they chose this property

Both Montanan natives, we moved from the eastern side of the state to the Valley many years ago. Living in Whitefish & Rollins before settling in Lakeside, we decided Flathead Lake is our favorite place to be summer or winter. The views are amazing in any season, the lake an ever-changing tapestry with wind, snow & ice, sunshine & blue skies, fog, rain, sunrises & sunsets. We are on the lake for summer fun but also close to ski areas in the winter....
