When we arrived we had issued getting the key from the lock box, and we weren't able to reach the owner at all at that time. Once we got inside the house it was incredibly dirty, the pool table and "exercise equipment" were laughable. The AC works downstairs though. The deck is dangerous with boards and nails popping out. Furniture needs to be replaced, we nicknamed one of the couches 'the murder couch'.

Price, space, and location were the three things I thought were great about this property. However, the pictures did not accurately reflect the condition of the house. The gardens surrounding the house are over grown and taking over the walkways and deck. The paint was so poorly done with splotches, missed sprays, drips, and painters tape remaining on the walls. The couch covers had stains. There was trash in just about every room and drawer. Trash water bottles, candy wrappers, pills, napkins, fast food cups, and old clothing. The walls and carpet were stained. The part that was hardest for us were the extremely uncomfortable beds and HOT upstairs (no AC upstairs). We had to go buy fans to try and keep cool enough to sleep at night, Additionally, the outside trash bins were full and had maggots / flies. I wish I could leave a better review, but these things need to be fixed. It just wasn't the quality I'd expect from a rental.
Host was responsive and communicated quickly and efficiently. Place was clean but dated and could use a facelift. Overall, not bad and not great. Location was great for an economical stay while in town for a Michigan game - easy 15 min drive to Ann Arbor and within easy reach of any necessities nearby.
The accommodations were exactly what we needed. The backyard was safe and spacious for the kids to run and play. The curtain rod in the family room was falling off the wall and was unsafe for the young children in our group.

I didn’t leave a review right away because I really had to think about this. I do not like to leave bad reviews and I truly don’t want to leave this one, however I cannot say everything was great. We did have clean sheets and
the house served its purpose for my graduation weekend. It was relatively clean but the property is relatively worn. There are stains in the carpet and the furniture is at least 20 years old. The toaster doesn’t work so it was a collaborative process cooking breakfast. Each of us had to take a turn holding the button down so we could have toast. Overall, it brought us closer together. Thankfully we

The most redeeming feature was the pool table. Back patio was overgrown with vines and such. Patio chairs and built in seating was questionable. I was charged 200 for extra people, however didn't have any extra, actually my party was less than the capacity shown in property description.
Kitchen and supplies need some help. Keurig would be helpful. Some better.cooking items needed. A few more plates. Or warn folks to bring paper plates. Glassware was good. All mattress should be replaced. I couldn't sleep on master mattress another night. Spacious yes, luxury not. Since we had a large family need, it worked for us. And we appreciated the welcome feeling from the host.
We were in town for a wedding. We needed a big space to accommodate doing wedding prep work. It worked for that purpose. The kitchen was VERY slim and the utensils were lacking as the few that were available were broken. The ice maker was broken in the fridge. Spices were very lacking as well. All of the mattresses must be 30 years old. And were stained with a few having mattress covers. Owner said we broke a door but we did not. So be careful and get the insurance if you choose to stay there. The paint job throughout the main level is very crappy and doesn't give a good appeal to the atmosphere. There is poor lighting everywhere! Need more lamps in every room.
The home offered a generous amount of space and had a great backyard with plenty of room to enjoy. While the layout and outdoor area were definite highlights, the finishes and overall presentation were fairly basic. The home would benefit from some updates and a more thorough cleaning to make the space feel more welcoming and comfortable.

Vacation rental, this is not. Property is very tired--with dirty, worn carpet, spackled walls, cracks, marks on the wall, sparsely furnished, and poorly maintained exterior. Don't plan on eating in as the pots, pans, plates, and eating utensils are few and inadequate. So plan on eating out, but don't get a doggie bag as the refrigerator is not clean. Yard is mowed but flower beds are full of weeds, some 3 feet tall. But it is a good haven for spiders and ants, both are which are large and black. We rented the property for a business trip so it met the minimum--a place to sleep and shower (poor water pressure) though the very cold first floor was balanced by the quite warm second floor, where all the bedrooms are located. Had my wife been with me, her first words would have been "so where are you going to take me because I am not staying here."
