You have found The Cross Eyed Cricket at Cedar Place in the center of Canaan Valley and amazingly close to Timberline Mountain. This lovely multilevel townhome offers a fully-equipped and recently updated kitchen, wood-burning fireplace, cable TV, WIFI and more. The serene setting feels safe and private. Outside The Cross Eyed Cricket offers a generous porch and yard for recreation, relaxation and a place to grill. Kids, tweens and teens will immediately claim the spacious loft as their place for games and late night chatter. Adults will love the comfortable living room with a wide screen TV and cozy fireplace. Located super close to the Timberline Ski area (only 400 yards from the chairlift) The Cross Eyed Cricket also offers easy access to Canaan Resort, Blackwater Falls, Dolly Sods and White Grass, along with the chic towns of Davis and Thomas. The location is by far the best thing about this rental. Other than that I like that the beds where comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook meals.

Kitchen was well stocked with the necessities. So close to skiing. Loved our stay and hope to return next winter!

Perfect ski rental home.

Our family loved our stay at Snow Diggs while we skied at Timberline. Just a minute away from the slopes. The house had so many bath towels I never had to do a wash. The kitchen was equipped with every utensil I needed. Having the washer and dryer on the first floor was so convenient too. Our family of 4 was super comfortable in this rental.

Short drive to trails and a nice gravel walking trail (about half a mile loop) right off of the property. Great kitchen with just about everything you need to cook (not a lot of restaurants in the area). We would come back.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Perfect for our needs. Close to hiking. Clean, comfortable, and quiet. Kitchen is in good repair with lots of pots, pans, dishes, cups and utensils. Both drip and Kerig coffee makers available. Wood fireplace is nice. One recommended update would be to put a screen door on the master bedroom balcony door. We missed not being able to have a window open at night in the bedroom. Walking trail behind the house nice for evening walks.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Snow Diggs was a wonderful rental property! One of the best equipped kitchens I’ve ever seen in a rental! I was stuck inside quite a bit due to a slow recovery from illness, but I was perfectly comfortable just lounging in the house - the smart TVs, Bluetooth speaker, and ample supply of board games and puzzles made it enjoyable! The only downside was that during my stay, there was heavy construction in the lots adjacent to the property, which made constant loud noise most days during the week. I assume new homes/condos are being built here and will be beautiful when completed, but those seeking a secluded location in the forest might want to look elsewhere. For those looking for a wooded setting within a beautiful neighborhood/community, it’s perfect! Overall I am very happy with my stay.

Great Location ,close to sky resort

Very spacy cabin, that accomodated two families of 5 people each. It's about two minutes drive from the sky resort. They provide all cooking pans and utensils,including coffee pot, dishwasher, washer and dryer. The cabin is old but everything is functional, could be a little bit cleaner but the price is reasonable. They also provided all fire wood and water was very hot and also the heater was working good. Plenty of parking space. I would definitely go back in the future
