Overall great stay! Nice and clean and beautiful private views of the lake. Really enjoyed this peaceful setting in the woods, yet plenty of open space near the water. Great communication from host!
Ed's property is exactly as advertised. Easy access on Big Glen Lake, tastefully decorated in Mid Century Modern, and well appointed, with every detail you will need for your stay. Had an amazing family vacation.
Fabulous house on the west side of Big Glen. The house has everything for a relaxing family vacation and is clean and comfortable. Ed was wonderful and great with communication. We will definitely return!
Murphy's Glen is the perfect place for a family vacation.
There are plenty of games for kids and kids at heart. The swimming and water sports were outstanding.
Plenty of space to eat in and the kitchen was well-stocked with every appliance and utensil imaginable. Plus the whole house was immaculate!
Ed was very responsive to my inquiries before and after booking. House and room were founded as listed, everything was clean and in great working order. We enjoyed the basement entertainment and kayaks every day. If you consider staying with a larger group, be aware that the room with the three kids bed is not closed off from the kitchen/living room and that the master is large and gets all the view, while the other two rooms are small and no view. Location is great, literally minutes to go on a hike, mins to run to the store, and yet totally peaceful!
Wonderful long weekend with friends! The property was awesome, clean and plenty of room. Days spent biking, swimming and laying on the dock. Evenings on the deck. Couldn't be happier with our stay!
The house is in immaculate condition and worked out well for our family. Ed Murphy couldn’t have been more helpful making sure we had everything we needed. The basement was amazing and provided fun for everyone. We can’t wait to rent again next year! It’s a wonderful place on a great lot!!
Met all our expectations. Large, fully stocked kitchen, nice eating area for 6 adults and 2 babies, great downstairs area with pool table and ping pong. Loved the large backyard with the fire pit area. Dock and lake were great. Thoroughly enjoyed our week at Murphy’s Glen.

Perfect house and setting
Great, comfortable, well-appointed house with mid-century style and lots of room for the entire family. Rec room offered perfect diversions for a rainy day. Sandy.lake bottom and shallow depth extending well out from the shore made for safe splashing by the kids. We hope to return soon!

The Perfect Getaway!
Murphy's Glen was perfect! The house was immaculate! Our family of four had a blast playing ping pong, kayaking, grilling and sitting by the water. Awesome hikes were just a few miles away, Glen Arbor down the street and the old fashion drive in movie theatre just 20 minutes away. You will not be disappointed renting Murphy's Glen. Ed, the owner, aims to please. He sent a packet of info beforehand and was even around to greet us when we arrived. This home is a true gem.

A Gem On Glen Lake
My family of four (two young adult children) stayed at Murphy's Glen and had a wonderful time! We were personally greeted upon arrival and shown around the home. The house was immaculate to say the least. The location is simply beautiful! Glen Lake is crystal clear and we commented several times during the week that, if we didn't know better, we would swear we were staying in the Caribbean. The downstairs "fun center" is a blast. We rented bikes right in Glen Arbor and rode over to Glen Haven and the Sand Dunes. The weather was a little cold but we did have a chance to try out the kayaks on site a few times and couldn't believe how tranquil the lake was. The two swans that feed out near the dock daily add to the beauty. So much to do and see we cannot wait to return to Murphy's Glen on beautiful Glen Lake.

Labor Day stay
Ed has a wonderful house that is impeccably maintained. We very much enjoyed our stay at Murphy's Glen. There were plenty of things to do indoors and out. Glen Lake is our favorite lake up here. The water is beautiful and the lake is never crowded. Murphy's Glen is ideally situated close to everything. Overall, we give it an A+.

Summer 2012 at Murphy's Glen
Just spent 2 weeks in July at this great spot. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed all of the fun things to do at the house much less the ones located close by ... I think we did it all ...pontoon boats to rent, lots of kayaking, hit the Dunes, shopping in a lovely little town, discovered the great meat and wine store in Cedar, the spa at the Homestead (2x!!), King salmon charter out of Fishtown, Farmers Markets, Art Fair, Dinners at Blu, Labecasse and Funestrada. Loved sunning by the water and floating in it. Enjoyed cooking on the grill and in the large kitchen. The house is peaceful, comfortable and spacious. We only had one rainy day to play in the giant downstairs! The owner is really nice and easy to work with. Add some more outside chairs ... we'll be back with friends! Thanks so very much, P and D
