A simple but comfortable place that feels very secluded but is only about 15 minutes from town and half an hour from great trails in the redwoods. Great place to stay. And the hot tub was a nice feature.
My wife and I are celebrating 30 years together and 27 years married. We wanted to get away and found this place. We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was really adorable and cozy. We enjoyed the hot tub and the quietness.
We loved this place! It’s not far from town but in the trees. Quiet and secluded. Older house. Clean. The hot tub is a great touch. I revimend you bring your own fire starter and use caution when entering the hot tub, the steps go to lounger instead of the step inside. We both fell at different points. Thank you!
Amy’s Redwood Cottage is located in a stunning location. You won’t find anything better. The interior is delightful and the beds very comfortable. Wi-Fi connection was great too. Check out day was a breeze, as well.
This place was exactly the experience we wanted in the redwoods. You’re surrounded by trees and can barely see any other houses, so it feels very secluded, but it’s not too far off the main road. Beds were comfy, hot tub was immaculately clean, definitely would stay here again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hot tub was lovely at the end of each day (especially after the hike to the Boy Scout Tree!). Beds were comfortable, everything was clean and it's an overall great base from which to go sightseeing every day. Would definitely stay here again if we're in the area.
Extremely quite , exactly what we wanted no noise away from people but close enough to whatever we needed , the place had a nice cottage feel, secluded and beautiful, would definitely stay here again
We really enjoyed our stay. It felt very “homey”. The hot tub was great after a day exploring the redwoods and the beach.

About the host
Hosted by Dennis and Becky Wood
I was born and raised in Del Norte County. After leaving the area for many years pursuing higher education and a career, I moved back in the Spring of 2021 with my family to raise my children in this beautiful landscape. We love spending time outside; hiking in the redwoods, searching for "treasure" on the beach, and swimming in the river during the warmer summer months.
Why they chose this property
The property is a gorgeous, secluded, redwood covered retreat.
What makes this property unique
Quiet, secluded, beautiful redwood grove. Relax in the hot tub, on the couch by the cozy wood stove, or by the campfire under the redwood canopy.
