Oceanfront Paradise~A lovely newly owned condo spectacular ocean views

This lovely 2 bedroom condo is decorated with the ocean in mind. That's because you are directly on the beach with one of the most beautiful views you will ever experience. Private balcony with amazing panoramic views of the ocean directly in front and coastal views of lush green undeveloped conservation land to your right where you can watch surfers, drink your morning coffee, read a book, or enjoy a glass a wine. This vacation rental is your paradise away from home that allows you to enjoy the luxuries of a comfortable inviting home in a unique location at a reasonable price. Linens, towels, beach chairs, coolers, and beach toys are all included.

Luquillo is a seaside surfing village, a quaint town housing a variety of local flare pubs and restaurants...many of which you can walk to. A short distance away by car or foot is a supermarket and a variety of well known stores for your convenience such as Walgreens, Walmart, CVS, as well as fast food restaurants. Luquillo is home to many festivals and it supports the protection of two kinds of sea turtles that nest on Luquillo beaches. La Pared is located beside the condo complex and is known to be one of the best surfing areas in Puerto Rico. The nearby Kioskos include a number of great restaurants to choose from with ocean views. The El Jungue rainforest is a 10 minute drive away but can be seen from Luquillo.

Our condo is in a gated property with a 24 hour security person on site at all times. It has its own parking space as well. We are happy to accommodate special requests when able. Early check in and late check out free of charge when available. The property manager and cleaner also live close by and are available as needed.

***If you have high expectations of your total rental experience please note that our guests have been very pleased with our condo and their stay but understand that by choosing to vacation in Puerto Rico accommodations and such may not be perfect. :)

I had an absolutely amazing stay that far surpassed my expectations! The property was spotless, and the views were breathtaking. I was pleasantly surprised by all the thoughtful extras—high-quality hair and body products, plenty of towels, and extra sheets—which made my stay even more comfortable. The AC kept the temperature perfect, and the water pressure in the shower was incredible—something not always easy to find in Puerto Rico!The location was ideal, so close to everything I wanted to explore, and communication with the host was top-tier—prompt, friendly, and extremely helpful. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. I can’t wait to come back.

Property was so well provisioned, everything we needed and more was there. Loved the space we had. Great beach access. So many choices of food within walking distance. Great access to the rainforest. We were able to relax and unwind in such comfort. So grateful.

A Diamond in the Rough

This location is a really unique experience! Many reviews mention the disrepair of the outer building, but the apartment itself was very clean. Monica, the property manager, was excellent. The location is great away from San Juan. The Condo is excellent , the people have everything there. The Building was built in late 70's could use a little work. Her condo is very nice highly recommend unit. Area has some night life but were there for beach which is great.

Relaxing Beach

My 18 year old son & I had a wonderful time at this beach condo relaxing and spending quality time together. The beachfront views were calming and relaxing. There are many restaurants and bars nearby within walking distance. Simple, very clean, oceanfront condo. We can’t wait to come back!

Excellent ocean view property

We spent four nights here in June 2022. It's a beautiful apartment in a tall building. The on-site manager (Ed) is super nice and helpful and attentive.

This is in the Sandy Hills complex. It is a great location in Luquillo; right on the beach and less than a five minute walk into town where there are bars, restaurants, etc...However, there is no pool at this time. It's closed indefinitely due to falling debris. You have to walk through the entire garage to get to your car, and there's no central air. The beach in front isn't recommended for swimming. You can walk about 15 minutes to a green flag where you can swim, but keep in mind, those beaches aren't maintained for weeds, etc... That being said, there is a beautiful, maintained beach (Laquillo) about a five minute drive away, which is very easy to get to. Right turn out of the gate, and you're there in five minutes. There is easy parking at the Monserrate Balneario parking lot. The condo itself is in good shape and very well stocked (beach chairs, towels, toys) and has some updates, but the building itself is undergoing repairs.

amazing ocean view

Breathtaking ocean view from the balcony, just like cruise balcony suite. Refreshing and super comfortable, no mosquitos. Owner Jeanne and property manager Monica are so nice and helpful. Monica recommended a lot of nice places and made our journey so memorable. Some of the best things/places we followed Monica are ENOCO grocery shopping (a lot of seafood), La Parrilla Restautant (5 star), El Yunque National Forest(fascinating) . If I visit PR again, I will definitely stay in Jeanne's condo again. Thank you so much Jeanne and Monica!

Well equipped!

We overall enjoyed our stay. The owners have a well equipped home with several useful amenities! Everything was clean but some of the towels smelled like mildew before we used them. The neighborhood didn’t look very safe but nothing happened. We also drove and didn’t walk around much locally. Balneario de monserrate was a great beach! Thanks for everything!

Good Condo

Condo was super clean and had everything we needed. The only bad part was that our parking space was a long distance from the entrance, and the parking arage was overrun with cats and smelled like cat urine. We had a bad storm one day, and the rain blew in thru the air conditioners. Monica made sure we had clean towels quickly since we used all ours to clean up the water. If we ever return to Puerto Rico, we would definitely stay at thos condo again

On the water beach condo

The best part of the stay is the condo is literally on the beach. We loved sitting on the balcony listening to the waves and no mosquitoes! The condo unit was gated and very secure. We didn’t stay long enough to feel super comfortable with the neighborhood after dark but I’m sure it is fine. We did walk down to the square one morning for coffee at a darling coffee shop with great coffee and pastries. We were very appreciative to the quick responses whenever we had a question. Thank you!

Perfect long weekend getaway

We recently got back from a much needed vacation in PR and this little gem was a perfect spot. Right on the ocean with the best breeze and AMAZING views, not to mention a super private beach to the east because of the preserve - great for a morning walk. We were familiar with the location having been in the area before but Ed, the property manager, was a wealth of information on local spots and activities. Be sure to check your cell service before you go - mine did not work (and I did not mind) but everyone else in the group had to tweak the settings. The condo had everything you might need for the beach: towels, chairs, coolers, etc. Might want to bring your own hand wash cloth if you use one in the bathroom - only one available but people can lift them so it's understandable. For those worried about the water after the hurricane, there was a Brita for use in fridge or you can use bottled water. Remnants of the hurricane are visible throughout the island - and Ed can fill you in on more - but it's clear to see that PR is bouncing back.

Amazing Stay!!!

Before going we were a little unsure as to what to expect. Before arrival we received crystal clear directions as well as instructions for access to the condo. When arriving, we noticed the neighborhood was a little beaten up but this is to be expected from a place that has hurricanes and small economy compared to other islands. Entering into the condo unit we were very pleased with how clean and how nice it was when we reached the balcony we have never had such a beautiful view of the ocean it was breathtaking. We had excellent communication with our host Monica. The condo had everything we needed as well as a couple of cervezas left in the fridge which I appreciated. She was readily available all the time. The condo was great, yes there are issues with one of the elevators as well as the exterior is in need of restoration which is scheduled. I totally recommend staying here. Beautiful condo amazing view great host. Now about Puerto Rico, this is one of the most beautiful islands we’ve ever been to. At first we were weary of the area hence the character of the people. But we worried for nothing the people are amazing. They offered to help with directions as well as any questions we had. The island itself is full of character and amazing people. Can’t wait to go back and I would definitely book here again. Thanks Mike & Chantal

The property was very clean and had great views. There was a miscommunication about steps and parking and an event that occurred out of their control. They immediately tooks steps to rectify the situation without me having to ask. Property manager was in constant contact with me. Very nice unit with great customer service.

Great view and great location

The apartment is exactly what the photos show. Clean , comfortable bed and shower . View is amazing . Coffee at sunrise was lovely. I have been all over the island and this location is close enough to San Juan - Fajardo - Culebra - loved the family beaches ! Great town Luquillo- lively at night - this host was helpful and responsive - we will be back

Caribbean nights in the Barrio

The unit was great, very clean, well stocked the host was very responsive. We had a minor issue with the AC and the host addressed it after 1 text. Absolutely fantastic experience in the unit. Outside was a different story. The neighborhood is older and showing severe neglect. The property sits right on the beach which is adorned with graffiti and a little clubhouse built of trash complete with a sign that read, “this beach is for locals only”. The beach access is restricted by the facility from 6A - 6P. The elevator was new and hit or miss if it was going to work. The first night there we had to walk to the 11th floor carrying the luggage. I want to emphasize the unit itself was beautiful and perfect for a week getaway with my wife, but I wouldn’t walk around the block at night without your g*n. Again the parts of the area that were of issue had absolutely nothing to do with anything the property owner could control.

Arrival

Arrival to property was a bit challenging to get through the gate. We did not have a car we used Uber so all the instructions on getting to the lock box for the keys was only from having a cars perspective. During the confusion, I tried calling our host, no answer, but did get a text response after we got into the condo, after getting assistance from a really nice lady ( I believe she was a owner in the building) and the front gate security, we found the lock box. I will say getting to it on foot is a little scary due to the garage being extremely dark and the parking space is on the lowest level of the garage. Also, the alarms asking to evacuate went off three times in the middle of the night two separate days of our stay. We of course evacuated to be the only people outside at 2am and to also have to walk up 11 flights of stairs because we were unsure of what was going on and listening to the alarms say DO NOT USE ELEVATORS! Elevators were a little shaky and only one was working and elevators getting to the garage haven't worked in quite sometime from what the nice lady was telling me. BUT minus those things, the view makes it all worth it. We had everything we needed. Entering/leaving the condo/building was a breeze. The beach was a staircase away. The condo itself was absolutely perfect. Exactly what was pictured. Definitely enjoyed our 4 days in paradise. The view was absolutely AMAZING!

Amazing stay

We just spent an amazing week in Puerto Rico. First time visitors and the stay and VRBO property could not have been better. The property manager was amazing with communication and very helpful with suggestions. The property was exactly as listed and wonderful in every way. Can't wait to return.

My husband Jamie and kids Will 10 and Molly 9 bought this condo after visiting Luquillo on vacation in 2016. We fell in love with Luquillo and Sandy Hills Condominiums and all the super friendly locals and visitors alike. We knew we had to make this our very own home away from home.

This is such an amazing place we can't wait to share it with you. We plan on using this condo as our home away from home which means it will be well kept and maintained. The view is unbelievable and you will not be disappointed by this condo. When you are on the balcony you feel like you are on the bridge of a ship but without getting seasick. Our condo is nicely decorated with a bright comfortable airy feeling making you feel like you are living on the ocean....because you are!!!! We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
