About the host
Hosted by Stefania Bondurant
Hosting isn’t just my business — it’s my passion. At Blue Ridge Upstate Gateways, we create spaces that feel like a friend’s home: spotless, thoughtfully stocked, and ready for you to simply arrive and relax.
I pay close attention to the details that turn a stay into an experience — from chef-ready kitchens and cozy fire pits to pawesome amenities for your pets and state park passes for your adventures. My goal is always to anticipate what you’ll need before you even think to ask.
I’m originally from Italy, but the Upstate has been home for the past 25 years. Because I live and work here, I care deeply about this community. When you stay with us, you’re not just booking a rental — you’re supporting a local host who values our neighbors, protects our resources, and is committed to keeping Greenville a wonderful place for families, friends, and guests alike.

Why they chose this property
I chose Portman Cove because it’s the perfect blend of lake life and convenience. Tucked right on Lake Hartwell, the neighborhood offers that calm, lake life feel — but you’re also just a short walk to Portman Marina, where you’ll find one of the area’s best waterfront restaurants, The Galley.
What I enjoy most about this neighborhood is the rhythm of life here: mornings on the water with kayaks or paddle boards, afternoons walking to the marina, and evenings gathered around the fire pit under the stars. It’s peaceful, but never boring — you can boat, fish, dine, or simply relax by the lake. Plus, with Clemson, Anderson, and Big Water Marina just minutes away, guests get both a retreat and easy access to all the action.

What makes this property unique
What makes Portman Cove Cottage unique is how much is packed into one stay. You get lake access just steps away, complimentary kayaks and paddle boards, and the rare ability to walk to Portman Marina — home to one of the best waterfront restaurants at the lake. Most lake homes require a drive for dining or supplies, but here you can be on the water in the morning, a short car ride to grocery stores and retailers alike, and dinner on the deck.
The home itself is thoughtfully stocked like a true getaway should be: a chef’s kitchen with a pizza oven and Blackstone grill, plush king bed with blackout curtains, and extras like state park passes, streaming sports, and even gear for pets. Guests tell us it feels less like a rental and more like a friend’s home — welcoming, easy, and ready for real lake-life memories.
