THIS HOUSE IS FULLY REPAIRED AND ACCESSIBLE SINCE HURRICANE BERYL.
This is a 1400 sq. ft. home with private pier and boat dock on Caney Creek. The front of the house has a large open space with vaulted ceiling opening onto a spacious front porch with a beautiful view of Caney Creek and spectacular sunsets. The front living area has a fully-furnished kitchen, a spacious dining and bar area with seating for ten, and a separate sitting area with TV and internet. The home has three bedrooms with king, queen and two single beds, plus a double sofa bed in the front room. The home is furnished with two full bathrooms (one tub and one shower). There is a shaded area downstairs with charcoal grill, picnic table and swing chair. The boat dock has mooring cleats and fenders for two boats, a bench for sitting, a fish cleaning table with lighting, water & electricity and a 1000w fishing light. Enjoy water sports on Caney Creek as well as quick boat access to the Gulf of Mexico (offshore fishing) and East Matagorda Bay (bay fishing). Sargent Beach is a ten minute drive away.

Great relaxing fishing getaway

Our family really enjoyed the stay. Really nice quiet getaway where the most time spent was on the private pier fishing like we intended. We are already looking at dates in the future to be able to come back.

Fishing Trip with the boys

A couple military buddies and I booked this place for a much needed get away to relax fish and unwind. It was a very pleasant and relaxing stay with a very nice view of the canal. Great time fishing off the private dock.

Was everything the reviews had already mentioned. Everyone had a great time and will book again. A short trip from home and great fishing off the pier with the fishing light and cleaning station.

Nice location and easy access to east matagorda bay by boat. Driveway entrance could be extended to get truck and trailer into property.

It was my husband’s birthday weekend. He loved it. The house was very beautiful inside out, I have no complaints about this property at all🙂💕

Confusing communications with host

I enjoyed our stay at the property, we caught smaller fishes and some crabs. Most of the fish caught was hardheads and not game fish. The headache came after the stay where the hosts wanted money for lost key card (which was later found) and also another charge for trash hauling. There was a tan trash can in the parking area under the house, it was nearly full so we stack our bagged trash on top as best as we could. There was email to say to use a black trash can first (which we didn't see on premise). So the host wanted to charge us for using the wrong trash can. I just think this would had been a good trip if it wasn't for all these minor issues that arise after the trip.

This was a beautiful property and we really enjoyed our time here. The property was pretty clean, except the air returns and air filter need to be changed/cleaned. The kitchen had everything we needed. The beach is a mile up the road and was fun too! Our family had a very memorable stay.

Overall great place and we would stay here again. The house was in a great location and just as described in the listing. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking meals. The family spent hours on the dock fishing. The cabinet full of games kept us entertained on the rainy days during our stay. The house could use a bit of a deep clean inside some of the kitchen cabinets and drawers were pretty dirty.

Our place was flooded and we couldn't get to our RV and we needed a place to stay for the weekend to take our great nephew's on their first salt water fishing trip. This place was perfect! Very convenient, clean and the host texted back immediately when I had a question. So far the best experience I've had on VRBO!

Nice getaway

Very nice location. Quiet and comfortable. This was our second time staying at this location. Its perfect vaction spot for us. Major is that it is less than a minute walk to family that lives down the street.
