I think we may have been some of the first guests this year since we came down in shoulder season. One of the fridges was broken so we lost some food that we had bought, but overall it was a good space and matched the listing. Definitely more geared towards families and kids.

Family wedding weekend

My family came to Asbury Park for a wedding, and this house was absolutely perfect for our family to all be under one roof. The location was ideal—just 10 minutes from both the church and the venue with anything you needed just right around the corner. The layout and size of the home gave everyone plenty of privacy, with spacious wings that suited each family member & neighborhood was quiet. The house was exceptionally clean upon arrival and stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable, home-like stay. We especially enjoyed gathering in the large seating area and making memories over board games. Our only regret was not having more time to take the bikes out and explore the shore! Check-in and check-out were very smooth, and the hosts were friendly, responsive, and easy to communicate with. We would absolutely recommend this home for any large family getaway!

Matt & Jan met in 2008 while living in England and in 2011 we move to the United States.

Initially landing in Jersey City, NJ - we loved living in the city and enjoyed all the conveniences it had to offer. One of the conveniences in JC was of course the fact that our apartment had a pool. As a Belgian, Jan wasn’t used to the hot & humid summers so many weekends and summer afternoons were spent by the pool, looking for some cool down.

After a few years, we wanted more space and more importantly our own space and in 2016 we figured it was time to plant some roots and we bought a house out in the Essex County Suburbs. Given our house didn’t come with a pool, we started spending more and more time during the summer down the Jersey Shore and we loved the beaches, restaurants, businesses and people straight away. We were particularly fond of Asbury Park and the surrounding areas, the unique houses in Ocean Grove, the open mind set of Asbury Park, the Stone Pony, Cookman Avenue and the resort feeling in Bradley Beach.

For Matt, being Australian and growing up near the beach, it was only a matter of time before he wanted to return to live near the ocean once again

Our house has 5 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and 2 En-suites, 2 fully equipped kitchens both with dining areas and 2 lounge areas with smart televisions plus an arcade corner with 2 arcades boasting several games.
There is also a spacious backyard with a grill, dining table and a firepit surrounded by chairs to enjoy the perfect s’mores on a summer evening.
