Located in Dollar Point, the Marlette Mountain Home has been remodeled and features 3 bedrooms/3 bathrooms and an attached two car garage. The kitchen, living room and dining room are open to one another for easy conversations. The living room offers tasteful furniture appointments, numerous windows for a bright feel, rock wood burning fireplace, and 70" smart TV. The front deck off the living room has good morning sun with patio furniture and the back deck features a 6 person hot tub, propane BBQ, and landscaped backyard some additional seating.

*For larger groups including weddings and family reunions, this vacation rental is about 1 block away from Dollar Point Lookout Cabin and the Great Escape Vacation Cabin.

All Agate Bay Realty vacation rental properties are fully equipped with free high speed wireless internet, linens, bath towels (equal to the maximum occupancy of the house), pots/pans, dishes, microwave, coffee pot, blender, toaster, TV/TV's with streaming services, washer & dryer and barbecue (many are only usable in the summer). The house will also provide a starter set of toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.

Regrettably, the downstairs bathroom was not functional. The shower failed to drain, and the toilet did not operate properly. Due to the holiday, immediate assistance was difficult to obtain; although a plumber did visit, the issue remained unresolved. A huge inconvenience incentive for 5 adults.

Wonderful place - the home is very spacious and well-appointed, love the decks and the hot tub. Agate Bay Realty was very responsive to any issues. Location is also great, close to Tahoe City and Kings Beach. Could add a couple of basic kitchen items: wooden spatula, liquid measuring cup.

Property was exactly as described. Everything we needed was supplied except for condiments and spices which we knew beforehand. The house was very clean inside and obviously well kept. Very good location in a nice quiet neighborhood. We had a very enjoyable week.

Decent property

First of all, the place outside looks gorgeous, location is good, quiet, close to Palisades Tahoe, living room is nicely renovated. Lots of space. Bad things: listing is lacking details, BBQ is advertised but not functioning. Whole bunch of rules they send after you already paid for the booking. Every room other than living room is dated more or less. Overall: if bbq functioned and all details were in the listing, not sent out after booking, that would be good property for the money

Location, check in and the hot tub were the major pluses of our stay at this property. The house needs a lot of updating, tiles were missing in the spare bath and the bath off of the primary, the shower is so small you can only stand and barely move in it. The mattresses in the primary and the lower level bedroom are lumpy and uncomfortable. The closets have so much personal/ miscellaneous items in them, we couldn’t fit our luggage nor our hanging items (we had several dresses and suits as we were there for a special event). None of the screen door sliders are on track and so getting in and out to enjoy the outside area was a chore, we were afraid we wouldn’t be able to close the screens if used. The patio furniture was less than desirable, as we had to clean everything off. Mind you, this is outdoor furniture and it’s going to get dusty, but this furniture had not been touched. I had reached out to Agate property over text (as instructed if we had any issues) and did not hear back on an issue we had with the washer/dryer. I had to reach out again and ask for a response to my issue (washer full of sand, the washer dial does not work). Agate representative eventually texted me back and said they would like to follow up with me after our trip to hear my concerns directly. As of this writing, I have yet to hear from Agate. Please know I had positives to share in addition to the issues and I truly thought Agate would stand by what they texted me and they have not.
