Blue Bungalow; family friendly

20 minutes from Downtown Dallas, in a Historical neighborhood, you will love this hidden gem! We have comfortable beds, and a fully stocked kitchen. The back patio has a fire pit, grill, play space for the kids, and a stock tank pool. Front porch has a swing with a great view of the sunset. Adults and kids can have fun and relax here. Our “kids room” has a loft with toys, games and packman.

20 minute drive to UPPERROOM Dallas and Downtown Dallas, 18 minutes from Waxahachie, 20 minutes from Arlington. 45-55 minutes from Fort Worth, and Waco, Texas. Www.downtownlancastertx.com for local fun things to do nearby.

The neighborhood is very safe. Shops and restaurants on the town square are 2 block away. Make sure you pop in to the Lovin’ Oven Bakery while you’re here! The “L.O. Crunch” is my favorite cookie ;) There is a full kitchen with all the essentials you would expect to have at home. If you are missing something, please let me know and I’ll try to get it for you. There is a propane grill, fire pit and playhouse for the kids in the backyard. There is a kids swing in the tree in the front yard. Lots of the furniture and decor has been hand crafted, or refinished by my husband and myself. Please respect our home as if it was your own. We are only minutes away, and love to meet our guests. If you’d rather keep to yourself, that’s fine too. We are always here to offer recommendations, advice or help when needed.

Bedroom 1 - King bed, desk and chair, and TV. Master bathroom is attached with a large walk in closet and wheelchair accessible shower.
Bedroom 2 - Queen bed, twin bed, desk, dresser, closet, kids toys and games in the loft.
Bedroom 3 - Adjustable queen bed, desk, chair, dresser, and walk in closet. This is the smallest room, but closets to the 2nd bathroom.
Living room - lots of open space! Couch, coffee table, Smart TV with DVD player.

Awesome property and host, perfect for families

Thank you for making our weekend so restful and relaxing. We felt welcome the moment we arrived. All we needed was taken care of, and we loved the luxurious touches. Your home is simply pristine...so clean and inviting, beautiful decor, and perfect for families or a girl's trip! We especially loved: the sweet front porch and swing, the fantastic garden, the awesome master bath, the inviting family living space, and the comfortable beds with fabulous linens. We will be back!

One of the best

This is my very first experience with VRBO and let me tell you….Mrs. Emily is amazing. She was prompt with my questions and even checked in with me throughout my stay. She went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of. Let’s not even begin to talk about the house. OMG it was so stinking cute and just like she said on the listing. The area is quiet and super safe. So many things to do around the area. This is a hidden gem and Mrs. Emily is the best.

Fun girl trip

Quaint and charming House

We really enjoyed our family gathering. The house was super clean and comfortable. The rooms are large and there was plenty of space for us to enjoy. We walked up to the town square just steps from the house. We enjoyed the old time bakery. We highly recommend this house and neighborhood. The owners were very accommodating.

Great Home, Awesome Location

Emily was great to work with on the rental. We loved the home, great space, great location. Close enough to Dallas / Ft. Worth to do anything needed. We were there for almost a week, traveled around and looked forward to returning to the vacation home each evening, as opposed to a motel. Would definitely rent this home again.

Old faithful

This will be our second stay and in a year from now we will hopefully have a third. Really enjoy this property, its a quick commute to all things Dallas and the house itself is charming and welcoming. We slept comfortably with all the necessary amenities. Owners are very friendly and we really appreciate all the thoughtfulness behind the stay. Kitchen has been updated very nicely and some new perks noted on the home was a nice surprise..Definitely recommend this property!

The house was perfect! Great location, and very comfortable. We stayed here for a vacation to visit Dallas and Waco and this was the perfect place to start each day. Emily was a gracious host, patient with this first-time VRBO guest and answered all my questions within 24 hours. It was a great place for our family to gather (three couples) for a family wedding in Dallas. We enjoyed the Lovin’ Oven bakery and Casserole Soul Cafe just a block away. With a front porch and back patio, we could sit and relax in the sun or shade. Emily left a bottle of wine for us, a perfect end to a lovely day. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect place for our Family Vacation!!!

We spent 6 days at this house and it was wonderful! The location was great as we were able to spend time in Dallas, Fort Worth and Waco. After spending busy days in the city it was awesome to come home to a quiet small town. You were close to everything, but away from everything at the same time!! The front porch swing and the little Town Square were my favorites!! The house was decorated absolutely beautiful-We would stay their again in a heartbeat!

Great stay for our girls' trip to TX

My friends and I stayed here for a long weekend. We planned to visit Waco, Dallas and Ft. Worth and this seemed to be a central location between those areas. The house is really cute. The furnishings reminded us a bit of a Chip and Joanna Gaines house. Emily, the owner, was professional and promptly answered any questions we had. No complaints. Suggestion for the future - offer an option to hang clothes up on hangers rather than just utilizing a dresser. I ended up draping my clothes over the end of the bed so they weren't folded. Emily was kind enough to leave a bottle of wine, some cereal, milk and bottled waters in the fridge for us. What a nice touch! The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the neighborhood. I would definitely describe it as "up and coming." Many houses in the area are in a state of disrepair and have poorly maintained yards. That being said, we never felt unsafe. The house is adjacent to a "square" that has little shops, a bakery and a couple of restaurants. We went to a bar/restaurant called Six Shooters on Saturday night and had a BLAST! Texas folks are so friendly. They had karaoke and a dance floor. Really small place but we loved it.
