Everything was great! Simple and easy check-in. Everything was clean and exactly as advertised. And they even left some snacks there which came in perfect for our hikes and my round of golf. Highly recommend!
Clean, comfy, safe, and great communication with host. Nice location with nearby stores and a short easy drive to sleeping bear dunes. Thank you for a great stay— Will be back!

We enjoyed our experience very much. Nothing fancy, but quiet, relaxing and steps away from salmon swimming by the deck. We were close to all the sites around the sleeping bear dune area, but mostly we stayed right there.
Excellent location for visiting Platte River, Lake Michigan, and Frankfort. Easy check in. Property was as described. This was our second time staying in one of these cabins.
Nice location, clean rooms, fully equipped kitchen. We didn't need to bring anything. Very warm and homey. Loved sitting by the river, very relaxing. I would choose this over any regular motel.
Clean, cozy, and spacious cabin in a prime location! It is a short drive to Traverse City, Lake Michigan, Platte River access, and cute coastal towns. Beautiful view of the river (and ducks). The owner was very friendly and kind and connected with us before our departure. The fully equipped kitchen was a fantastic touch. Hope to stay here again soon.
I can’t say enough about this lovely cabin on the Platte River! It was well appointed, perfectly located, comfortable and clean. The proximity to all the northwestern Michigan has is unparalleled! It is close to a market, and several great restaurants. We were happy to have it as a base of operations to get us to the dunes, the big lake, and all of the nearby villages. We highly recommend this property!!!!
This small cabin was perfect for our needs. My husband and I stayed for a weekend in May 2025 with our two dogs. It has all the basics for a no frills getaway and close enough to all the local flair. We were in town for the grand reopening of the Cherry Bowl Drive-In, which is just down the street. This cabin is right on the river which was cool. It shares a wall with another cabin, but we never heard the other occupants. Our agenda didn’t allow us to take advantage of the other fun activities like fishing or kayaking/canoeing but it would be a perfect place for that if you have time. The only downside is that my husband was too big for the shower (he’s 6’4”), but he managed. Fortunately it didn’t take away from the overall coziness.
