About this property
Bohemian Hideaway with No Cleaning Fee
Experience Bohemian Sophistication in Portland
Elevate your next visit to Portland by staying in this stylish freshly renovated 1922 Craftsman bungalow, where bohemian charm meets modern comfort. This home is filled with thriving plants that bask in the abundant sunlight, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere. Unwind on the large front porch, or the cozy backyard deck, complete with twinkling lights and a grill—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city.
Prime Location
Located in the desirable Overlook neighborhood, you’re just minutes away from several of Portlands many eclectic and endearing neighborhoods.
You’re just five blocks from the burgeoning food/bar scene on N Killingsworth, and a short 3-5 minute drive to Mississippi Ave or Alberta St., two of Portland’s most vibrant dining and shopping districts.
If you’re like us, your day starts with coffee.
Thankfully you’re nestled near many excellent coffee houses: Albina Press (a 10-minute walk) and Stacks Coffeehouse (an 8-minute walk) are two of my favorites… (but Albina Press is our absolute go to ;).
Living Room
Enjoy a cozy night in with a cracking fire or a movie playing on the 46-inch Roku TV. Two couches and two oversized chairs are perfect for reading or kicking back while listening to records on the Bluetooth enabled record player.
The large dining table is great for board games, or if you need to get some work done, there’s a desk and 5G WiFi available as well.
Kitchen
No trip to Portland is complete without indulging in great food, and our fully equipped kitchen is ready to help you create culinary goodness. The kitchen features a double oven, food processor, toaster, coffee maker, spices, Bodum electric kettle, teas, microwave, Ninja blender, rice cooker, crockpot, and a KitchenAid stand mixer for your baking needs. A bonus: there’s filtered water right at the sink!
New Seasons, one of Portland’s favorite grocers, (and ours), is just a 3-minute drive or a 15-minute walk away. Please note, there are ice trays provided but no ice maker.
Bedrooms
When it’s time to rest, choose from four cozy ZINUS green tea memory foam beds with pillow toppers and plenty of pillows -two queens and one full, plus a twin pullout bed.
The main floor bedroom stays quite dark late into the morning, while the upstairs catch the morning sun and south for a peekaboo view of the West Hills. The white sofa in the living room moonlights as an additional twin bed if needed.
Bathrooms
Each floor has a full bathroom. The downstairs bathroom includes a bathtub and blow dryer, while the upstairs bathroom features a large shower underneath an opening skylight. Both bathrooms are stocked with eucalyptus body wash and organic shampoo/conditioner.
Laundry
Laundry facilities located in the basement.
Ecos detergent and dryer sheets provided.
While the basement isn’t a finished basement, it’s well-lit and easy to navigate.
Family & Pet-Friendly
We welcome families with children and provide a pack-and-play, a Graco fold-up high chair, and baby gates. Please note that the house is not child-proofed, so supervision is necessary. We’re also pet-friendly, allowing one dog up to 50 lbs. For additional pets or larger dogs, please reach out to me.
Explore Portland
When you’re ready to explore, hop on the yellow line MAX train or catch the bus just two blocks away.
Visit the world-famous Powell’s City of Books, explore the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, or hit a food cart after a hike through Forest Park (seen from the upstairs bedroom window), the largest wooded urban park in the U.S.
Additional Information
• We are approximately 15-20 minutes from the airport, 8 minutes from downtown, 1.5 hours to Mt. Hood, 1.5 hours to the Oregon Coast (Cannon Beach), 3 hours to Seattle, 45 minutes to Oregon Wine Country, and 3.5 hours from Central Oregon (Bend/Mt. Bachelor).
• For more tips on exploring Portland, check out the Portland Monthly and Travel Oregon websites.
Important Notes
• Our home features central heating and cooling throughout, with additional mini splits in the upstairs bedrooms that are preprogrammed to maintain a comfortable temperature.
• Our smart home technology will alert us if excessive decibel or occupancy levels are detected, allowing us to reach out directly with a reminder of maximum occupancy and quiet hours. This technology is privacy-compliant, monitoring only the presence of decibels and devices—not any personal conversation or information.
• If stairs are a concern, please note there are five steps at both the front entrance and rear exit. The laundry room is in the basement, which also requires stairs.

Born in Cali but then moved to NYC when I was 20. Got my cosmetology license and shortly there after linked up with two of my stylist friends and opened our first shop in the east village. Been going strong for 16yrs at Twigs Salon. Meet my boyfriend along the way and 5 yrs ago we moved to Portland. Our goal was to buy a home and try our hand at renovation. So here we are sharing our first home with others in hopes you love it as much as we do.
