About this property

Log Sleeping Cabin West

Please read carefully — this cabin is designed for guests who enjoy a true rustic mountain experience.

“Roughing It Gently” Camp Cabin is a simple one-room mountain cabin located approximately 15 miles north of Blanding, Utah, in the Abajo Mountains. The final 10 miles of access is maintained gravel road. While passenger cars can typically reach the property in normal weather, guests should be prepared for mountain driving conditions including dust, occasional rough sections, and possible snow or mud depending on season.

This is a rustic accommodation. The cabin does not offer modern hotel-style amenities. Bedding is provided, but guests should expect a simple, clean, and functional space intended as a basecamp for outdoor recreation and relaxation.

Restroom facilities are located a short walk from the cabin rather than inside the unit. Cooking is typically done outdoors using the provided fire pit. Guests are encouraged to bring their own camp cooking equipment and supplies.

Cell service may be limited or unavailable depending on carrier. Wi-Fi is not guaranteed. Wildlife, insects, changing mountain weather, and natural forest sounds are part of the experience.

If you are seeking quiet, dark night skies, cooler mountain temperatures, and close access to Bears Ears National Monument and surrounding Four Corners destinations such as Hovenweep National Monument, Monument Valley, and Four Corners Monument, this cabin provides an excellent and memorable stay.

This property is best suited for guests who enjoy nature, adventure, and unplugging from everyday conveniences.
