Explore the Beautiful nature filled countryside while being a quick drive away from Nevada City, Grass Valley, Coloma & Sacramento, or just be halfway point for a fun day trip to the mountains & Lake Tahoe or the ocean & San Francisco

The space
The beautiful Lester House in Auburn has the following sleeping arrangements:
1. Upstairs master bedroom with a spacious king bed and a small, single sofa bed not convertible, perfect for a child, additional working desk, providing ample room for every traveler .
2. ⁠Downstairs bedroom with a spacious king bed and a large TV perfect for relaxation.
3. ⁠Loft Bedroom with a comfortable twin day bed, ideal for adult or a child.
4. ⁠Attic Bonus Room with two twin beds, perfect for a young adult, a child or occasional guest.
5. ⁠Downstairs Living Room has a larger sofa non convertible that can accommodate an adult.

This was the dirtiest place we have ever stayed , there was rat feces in the kitchen cupboards and on the window sills .The fireplace was full of old ashes we had to clean before we used it . The front door could not be opened . There was no kitchen towels so we used a bath towel for the kitchen and they charged us for an extra cleaning fee for ruining a towel and dog hair ,However when we arrived the sofa was full of dog hair and dog prints . Luckily I took pictures of everything

We had a nice enough stay but don't think I would stay again. The house is adorable and in a beautiful and convenient area. But it's a property that definitely prioritizes novelty over function. The house was not terribly clean, I spent the first while I was there stepping on bits of garbage and outdoor debris in the living room and throwing them away. The kitchen cupboards were full of debris but lacking some cooking equipment that would have been helpful. Hard to believe my 265 cleaning fee will be put to good use. We also had an issue with a few overhead lights not working. We eventually found a remote for the living room but it did not work to turn on the ceiling fan. Overall, we had a fun weekend and were comfortable enough, but if you're booking, be ready for a fairly rustic experience!
