BEAR-A-BOUT Cabin - 3 bedrooms, 3 baths with Hot Tub!

BEAR-A-BOUT

We purchased this home because of the location, minutes to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, and Dollywood. Since we are not spring chickens anymore we wanted a home that had level parking and both master suites are on the main floor with no steps to climb. The downstairs is the game room with pool table . There is also a full bath downstairs. It's so comfy and cozy we fell in love at first sight. I hope you will enjoy our home as much as we do. The Smoky Mountains are breathtaking and there is just so much to do, whether it be hiking, skiing, bear watching, shopping, restaurants, the list is endless. The kitchen is well equipped with dishes, silverware, pots and pans, a mixer, a blender, a Magic Bullet, a toaster, a sandwich maker, roasting pan, a steamer and more. Both master suites have queen size beds with TV in the living room and all bedrooms. All rooms have plenty of lighting, got a great hot tub, enjoy checkers in the living room and sunbathe on the large 12x16 deck. Smoking is permitted on the outside decks only please and ash trays are provided.

Update February 2018 - New showers, new carpet, new door, new pool table, new roof, we're always updating!

2025 - All Flooring replaced, new stove too

The cabin was clean and very nice. It's in the mountains close to but away from the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg just minutes away from both. The location of the cabin is very peaceful and quiet. Really enjoyed our stay.

The cabin was a great value. Clean, spacious, with pool table/checkers. I was also in a community with 3 small ponds my youngest fished in. In all it worked out great for us

Family Vacation

Looks like we will be making this our home away from home when vacationing for the foreseeable future. Grand loved it so much last year that we booked again this year and now she’s talking about booking it for next year Karen is absolutely wonderful and is quick to reply.

Great location. Close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Owner very communicative. Clean. We used all 3 rooms and were able to put a twin blow up by the pool table for my teen.

Family Fun

I must say we were pleasantly surprised at the ease getting to Bear-A-Bout. What a great location in-between Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg. Everything you needed was in the cabin, which we happened to be in more the planned as the weather did not want to cooperate. We found the beds were comfy, showers had great pressure, kitchen was well equipped. We had one little hiccup that we had to contact Karen about and she responded almost immediately and handled the situation. She was so nice and happy to help.I would definitely recommend it to anyone want a reasonably priced place to stay for vacation. Karen, Thank you, Dave & Family

Location is excellent. Pretty much middle of both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Only complaint as mentioned plenty before, need for better lighting.

The cabin was everything advertised. We had a wonderful stay and the family is talking about going back next year at the same Cabin if it’s available. Karen was quick to text back and even answer the phone. Having a bear visit on the last night was a plus.

Cozy Cabin

Cozy cabin! Wife, kids and I enjoyed the cabin!!! It’s an older cabin and has minor flaws as would be expected, but overall a very comfy cabin. There was plenty of room for family to enjoy Christmas! Thank you for the great experience! I would definitely come back!

The Bear About Cabin was absolutely wonderful. It was a very relaxing place to stay while on vacation. It was very well furnished, and lived up to everything shown in the pictures and listed in the property details. Great little cabin!

We enjoyed our stay in this cabin! Everything was great! The stairs going down to the basement are very steep so if you have Little ones make sure you bring some baby gates to block it off! That’s what we did and we had no problems! The host was very responsive and kind!

Hidden little gem

A little off the beaten path, but just minutes from all the attractions Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg have to offer. If you stay here definitely follow the directions of the host. Your GPS may send you on some very tricky roads. If you're looking for a quiet place to kick back after a day on the run this place fits the bill.

Why they chose this property

When I first saw the Smoky Mountains I was hooked. Having a home in Sky Harbor means being right between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The area is quiet, easy to get to but when you come down off the mountain, everything is there within minutes, turn left to go to Galinburg and right to go to Pigeon Forge and Dollywood, what could be better? As they say, location, location, location ! Enjoy !

What makes this property unique

Somehow just stepping in to the cabin, all troubles melt away, maybe it's all the pine siding on the walls or the cozy fireplace and maybe just sitting out on the back deck and looking at the mountains and trees. There is just such a sense of serenity for us. I hope you love it as much as we do
