A wonderful space, bedrooms were a good size, beds were comfortable, lovely to have a washer and dryer. Great common space with lots of room for the 6 of us and our 2 puppies. Enjoyed the fire pit and bbq as well as the deck. Would recommend for a central location and comfy accommodations .
Great cottage to lounge and hang out. We used the kayaks and hot tub provided. The cottage was clean and roomy for the family. Close to restaurants and groceries. Close to a sandy beach (Thunder Cove Beach). Host communicated well.
What an amazing fit for our family! We were so thrilled with the location, cleanliness, amenities and communication from the host. It was our first trip to PEI as a family and this spot was a great home base for us. Kensington was close by for meals and touring, the outdoor deck area was beautiful, the hot tub was nice in the evenings and the indoor area was spacious and so clean! I would highly recommend this property!
We travelled as 2 families, with 3 children under 8. The kids were very happy to see a little playground set attached to the shed, within eyesight of the deck (and from the living room inside). Location is perfect, 15 minutes max to some really great restaurants (recommend Sou'West), and all things Cavendish. It was cool that they had boats available, however getting down to the river looked difficult, unless I was unclear about where to go. They have some bikes which was a nice addition. Keep in mind the road is quite bumpy and busy; we didn't chose to use the bikes. The black flies were unbearable at times, pack lots of bug spray! It was lovely to have a hot tub, I'd say it could fit 4 adults comfortably. There are also a lot of earwigs, perhaps something to consider. We made smores over the fire which was great! Inside was very clean. We were happy to have a nice big fridge, all the appliances needed, with some extra touches like coffee provided and a bag of lobster flavoured chips! The dining and living room were big enough for our group, and the deck was nice and large. We would definitely stay again! Thanks for a fabulous vacay!

My wife and two teenaged sons were looking forward to spending a long weekend in PEI. The house itself was excellent in a nice location half way between Kensington and Cavendish with 3 good sized bedrooms, A/C, a great kitchen eating and family area too. The hot-tub was also nice. The only major problem was that we were looking forward to kayaking in the nearby cove. The instructions gave directions to the launching area, which turned out to be a small clearing in the trees and we would have to get into gross swampy grass to launch at high tide, which we decided not to do. We ended up driving a couple minutes down the road where there was a slightly better launching area - a muddy dirt path into the water. When my wife went to the original clearing area to take picture of my sons kayaking, a neighbor let her know that we were trespassing on their land! The clearing was not part of the rental homes property.. This was pretty embarrassing for my wife and we didn't end up doing any more kayaking, which was a big disappointment. We sent a note about this at the end of our trip but it was not addressed. Overall we did have a nice long weekend in beautiful PEI despite this.
