This spacious, sparkling clean house on Lake Lanier, which we call Happy Ours, is the perfect lake getaway. Whether you’re celebrating an occassion or just want to spend time with friends or family, there’s room to be comfortable here. Situated on an open cove but not on rough "big water", you will be thrilled you found Happy Ours.

This beautiful home has bedrooms and bathrooms on three different levels, which offers privacy to your group. The main living area has a vaulted ceiling, hardwood floors, and lots of natural light from the wall of windows that overlook the trees and the lake. There are also three separate decks, two of which are covered, and one has an outdoor kitchen and a fire pit.

Down at the lake you have full access to the large private dock with an upper sun deck and plenty of room for swimming, fishing, and just hanging out on the water. You are welcome to bring your own boat and leave it in one of the two slips.

The house is in a great location, just a short drive to downtown Gainesville and Lake Lanier Islands. If you’re in the mood to shop, you can visit the North Georgia Premium Outlets in Dawsonville. And there are lots of great restaurants in the area.

The host was very friendly, responsive and wonderful to work with. The home was exceptionally clean, modern and beautifully appointed with plenty of open space to lounge in. The home provided all the amenities that we ever needed. It's a great home for families with lots of outdoor space to enjoy. It's located in a very peaceful setting in a quiet neighborhood. Highly recommend!

The house was wonderful - it had everything we needed and the downstairs was a perfect place to hang out and play games since our week there was unseasonably cool and rainy. The dock was a bit of a walk but once there it was the perfect place to hang out in the water.

great location, very pleasant relaxing home

we had family and friends in for graduation of my son. the property was beautiful, very private.we just hung out, spent time by the fire, on the dock and relaxing on the porches. we did not really go out anywhere, cooked all meals on the property which was nice. i would rent this location again. john

Wonderful property

Our multigenerational family enjoyed our spring break here with plenty of room for everyone. We enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and fire pit and the dock allowed us to bring our boat along for the fishers in the family.

DON'T PASS UP THIS OPPORTUNITY.

Not only is this home outstanding with beautiful morning scenery, the home owner Joni is as well. She kept perfect communication, even answered the phone at 11pm to accommodate me extending our stay. I travel for a living and have been to countless rentals, this here has been by far the best. If your looking for a good private spot on the lake, stop looking and hit book now. A great fall weekend with family

Amazing location

We stayed with our family of 12 and the property was absolutely perfect. The bedroom layout works perfect for multiple adult couples, or for parents with older children. The basement is super cozy and comfortable and allows plenty of room for playing games or watching a movie together. The dock at the lake was perfect and in a perfect location on the lake!

Perfect house for a girl's weekend getaway

This was a great location for our girl's weekend getaway to celebrate a friend. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate 10 ladies comfortably. The house has a great setup and there wasn't anything we needed outside of the suggested things to bring. Joni was great to work with and easily accessible to answer any questions. Highly recommend!

Amazing Lake house vaca

The house was amazing! The doc was so much fun. Everyone in our group loved every minute! We rented kayaks through the property manager. It was easy and inexpensive. The property manager was always communicating and friendly. This was one of our best vacations.

Family Reunion

Lake House Escape

Great week at the lake

My family recently spent a wonderful week at this property. It was spacious and very clean. The kitchen was well equipped, with a double oven. Back porch was nice in the morning to enjoy coffee. Covered dock is a plus in hot summertime. Near to food stores and other retail. It's a hike to the dock but after a week, hardly notice it.

We had a great time at the lake house! Plenty of room, nice kitchen, great patio and fire pit, loved the covered deck for coffee in the mornings. Owner was amazing with communication. We had a couple of issues which were addressed right away. We loved the property but would have loved to see more of the lake from the house. We also unexpectedly had someone on crutches and the trip down to the dock was steep and further than we thought. Just something to keep in mind. The dock was great. We rented a boat and docked it and fished from there as well. The lake was awesome. We ventured out each day and found a small beach in different areas of the lake and enjoyed lounging and exploring the water. The lake where the house is located is perfect for swimming, boating, jetskiing. It’s a quieter area than the main part of the lake. Much more relaxed and enjoyable. We took the boat to Pelican Pete’s for dinner one night and ice cream for a couple of other nights. Anything you might need is not far from the house… Walmart, Publix, Home Depot and restaurants. Even Pelican Pete’s wasn’t far to drive from the house. Thank you Joni for a great week.

Great place

This property was everything and more then described in the listing details. First impression, very clean. Throughout our stay the amenities were a great fit for all ages. 2nd living room was great for game nights and staging for days on the lake. Joni was very helpful and responded quickly when we inquired about rental paddle boards. We traded our beach vacation for a lake vacation this year and it was worth it. The cove the property is in is perfect for paddle boarding, hanging out in tubes and boating. We will definitely be back, hopefully before next year.

Family Vaca

The manager was very helpful and check-in was super easy. We had 8 in our family and the home was comfortable for everyone. There is a long walk to the lake and some steep areas to get there. Might be hard for some to navigate but it’s good exercise. There is shopping and marinas close by which is very helpful. We rented a boat at Port Royale Marina which is not far. Would highly recommend if you want to enjoy the lake. It was nice we had a dock to use as well.

The Perfect Retreat

This rental was well appointed, super clean, and accommodated 3 adult couples and a single amazingly! It is rare that you find a rental with 3 king sized bedrooms all ensuite. Not only that, if we had the kids with us, this house could have accommodated 5 of them. Wow! The three levels of this house allowed each member of our group to have their own space to retreat to, and then the living room and porch was expansive enough to allow all of us to congregate together. The driveway also easily fit 3 cars and could fit many more if necessary. Loved the peaceful dock and the alcove where the house is situated. I can't say enough about this rental, it really was perfect!

Relaxing Labor Day weekend

This house was great for our group of friends with toddlers. The basement space gave us a place to hang out while the kids were asleep at night where we wouldn’t accidentally wake them with our conversations. Having 2 refrigerators made it easy to hold food for several families. The dock was great for afternoon swims in the lake. The house is at the end of the cove so not too much boat activity. We rented a boat from Port Royale marina that was super close to the house. Highly recommend that. Plenty of parking & outdoor space for hanging out in. We were very pleased with the whole experience. Thank you!

Perfect Lake House for Large Group

Extended family trip to lake Lanier. The house had a great layout with lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. Everything seemed clean. Plenty of room to store your stuff in the bedrooms and kitchen had an empty pantry. Outdoor fire pit and kitchen area were great for making dinner, s'mores and hanging out. The walk to the dock was pretty. The path closest to the house is pretty steep or take the stairs. But mostly level after that. Kids swam off the dock, the water level when we were there left a little bit of a beach area so the toddlers in our group were able to stand in the water and just play where it was shallow after climbing down a very small drop off. Owner was very quick to respond and kept in touch well. The cove you are off is perfect for kayaking, also used it for tubing. Only negative is the temp in the house. The lowest you can set the A/C is 75 and the rooms upstairs were reading 78 most nights (thermometer on baby camera) we bought a couple fans for the room with 3 twin beds so the kids could sleep better. Other 2 upstairs room has ceiling fans. So if you need it cool to sleep the only room that was cool was the king bedroom on the lowest level.

House was immaculate when we walked in and was well stocked with all the pots, pans, beach towels, that you would need. Plenty of space to move around and excellent for entertaining with four different dining areas inside and out. We had fun at the dock and one person even caught a catfish. We didn’t need all of the bedrooms, so I turned the bunk room into a yoga space! The office was perfect for my son-in-law who had to work on Friday. Would definitely stay here again!

This place is amazing. Loved everything about it. Owner is responsive and very helpful. We had two teens, a toddler under 3 and then 5 adults. Our toddler slept in a pack n play in the walk in master closet. Plenty of room, worked perfectly. I would recommend a wagon or 2 to tote stuff down to the dock. It’s not far, but there is a steep hill (that is paved) as you walk back. Dock is very shady underneath and the ladder makes it easy to get out of the water. We will definitely rent again.

We built this house as a second home while our kids were still in school. After downsizing from our home in Gwinnett county, we bought a smaller home around the bend and essentially get to enjoy the same great cove as our vacation rental. Living close by allows us to be extremely responsive to our rental guests and also enjoy one of the most central locations on Lake Lanier.

Why they chose this property

This is the second home we owned on Lake Lanier. The first one we built was further and the lot was quite steep. We desired a lot that was more gentle down to the lake, and this one fit the bill. No matter what the water levels are on the lake, we are able to move the dock so that we always have water and can get our boats in and out.

The house itself is great for couples as well as families since four of the five bedrooms have their own bathroom. It has been a wonderful house for family vacations.

What makes this property unique

There are many things we love about the house. The outdoor kitchen with the fire ring is one of our favorites. No matter what time of year, we use the outdoor grill and fire ring as a place to gather. The covered decks off the back of the house are good for meals and to sit and relax with a cup of coffee. The ceiling fans keep it a comfortable temperature in the warm months.

The cove where our dock is located makes a great spot to sit and watch people fish, tube or ski. It is a protected spot, yet very open without being in an area where the dock/boat gets knocked around. The location on the lake is convenient; we love to take the boat over to Pelican Pete's to eat and listen to music. There is always something to do and Gainesville is 10 minutes away if we want to go shopping or go to dinner.
