About this property

Historic Jacobs Avenue! Short Stroll to Camden Village, Harbor & Beach

1BD/1BA (sleeps 2)
Charming Loft apartment with off street parking located on Jacobs Avenue, known for it's Historic 'Sears Kit Houses' from the early 1900's. Full Kitchen, Cable TV, WiFi Internet, Stereo, Kayaks, Bicycles and Linens provided. Short stroll to Camden Village, Harbor Park, Yacht Club and Laite Beach. Camden Village offers great shopping experiences and wonderful restaurants. Camden Harbor offers photo worthy views at every turn. Matter of fact, you will most likely encounter artist's in the process of painting the harbor or photographer's capturing the harbor with their cameras. In addition, the fleet of Windjammers in Camden Harbor offer short day sails to explore the Islands and History of the Penobscot Bay region.
Next door Rockport Harbor is also one of the prettiest Harbors in Maine, with the Midcoast Landmark, Aldermere Farm, home of the Belted Galloway (or as the locals call them 'Oreo') Cows, Beauchamp Point & the Children's Chaple, the Rockport Opera House offering concerts throughout the summer, Shepard's Pie Restaurant (which is a local favorite and open late), Graffam Bros. Seafood Shack & Market (for the best Lobster, Clams, etc.), Rockport Marine Wooden Boat Yard with a continual array of beautiful boats and Maine Media Workshops, a world renown Photography and Film College (where many of those photographer's you see hail from). All this and so much more within walking or biking distance of Jacobs Avenue...bikes and kayaks are offered free with the apartment rental!

A perfect little loft
This is a very well situated apartment in a very cute and quiet neighborhood. It was very clean and the host was very fiendly and usefull. Although, the available amenities need a revision. There is no air conditioning, no beach towels and no stereo in this apartment. Other than that, it is perfect for a couple and very comfortable.

Camden, ME Stay
We had an excellent stay on Jacob's Avenue. Everything was fresh and clean and there was excellent communications from the owners. It is a very walkable location into a wonderful town along the coast. Just be aware that there is no elevator and you must use the steps to the loft. The hosts shared an extensive list of restaurants and spots not to be missed. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Wonderful space, incredible experience
My partner & I stayed here for the most relaxing, cozy week of vacation! The efficiency flat itself is perfect for a couple - just enough room for the two of us to spend dedicated time together. The kitchenette is outfitted just right for cooking quick meals and tea/coffee in the morning, the bathroom is gorgeous and very spacious, and the bed/living area is quite comfortable and gets stunning light. The lot is a relatively short walk to the main town square as well as beaches and hiking locations which was super convenient. Lee, the owner, went above and beyond - in addition to providing a ton of local recommendations, he loaned us personal bicycles to make our trip even more lovely. There is also a semi-private balcony where we spent a lot of time reading and listening to the birds under the cover of shade from the giant trees surrounding. If you’re looking for a peaceful, simple get away to the woods with the ease of being near a bustling little town - this is it for you! Wonderful stay!
