In accordance with the Town of Kiawah Island Short Term Rental Ordinance, all guests understand that the approved number of bedrooms is 4, the maximum allowed occupancy is 10, and the maximum allowed number of vehicles is 4.

Located in Vanderhorst Plantation, this home’s reverse floor plan maximizes the views of Kiawah’s incredible marsh and natural beauty. Gorgeous sunsets can be seen nightly directly from the home! The beautiful home is located about 5 minutes via bike from the beach and is across from the famed Ocean Course Golf Course.

The first floor includes three bedrooms, each with flat screen TVs, en suite bathrooms, and access to the lengthy back deck with sweeping views. The bedroom on the right offers one full and one queen bed and bathroom with bathtub/shower combo. The middle bedroom features a king bed and bathroom with shower. The first-floor primary suite is on the left and offers a king bed and bathroom with shower.

Ascend the steps and behold beautiful vistas. The second-floor suite is on the right, featuring a king bed, large wall-mounted flat-screen TV, bathroom with double sinks and separate bathtub and shower, and access to the second-floor back deck. The living room offers plenty of seating with its sectional sofa and two cozy chairs, generous wall-mounted flat screen TV, and access to the back deck. A sitting area connects the living room and kitchen area. The spacious kitchen features high-end appliances, including double wall ovens, island with Viking six-burner range, and wet bar with wine cooler. Just beyond the dining area are the screened porch and back deck. You will enjoy dining and lounging in the screened porch, rocking on the back decks, and soaking in the serene environment. A half bath is conveniently located on the second floor.

The home is equipped with washer, dryer, high-speed wireless internet, and elevator. Please note, this home does not have any cable services but streaming only.

Family Spring Beach trip

The home was very clean. We loved the location to the beach, and the view from the decks and screen porch. This would be a home we will rent again. However, communication by the Property Management team could be improved with responding to issues that arise with the house, i.e. no air conditioning during our stay on one level, water pooling in the master shower which was not fixed after repairman came out.

Excellent location! House was very clean. Tried to use grill on the back deck but starter button broken. Contacted the host once arrived bc there was hand soap only in one bathroom but they quickly resounded and rectified. Kitchen stocked nicely. Easy short bike ride to beach access. Thank you!

Great house!

Our family of 8 rents a house every year in Kiawah every year and this was our favorite one so far! There was plenty of room to spread out and then we could come together for meals at the large dining room table. We would also spend a lot of time on the screened-in porch enjoying the view over the marsh. It is also only a few minute ride with bikes to the beach. I had to call the property management a couple of times (example we needed more propane for the grill) and they were extremely fast to respond. We hope definitely stay at this house again.

We have been renting in Kiawah for over 8 years and not just for vacation. We come multiple times a year for extended time periods and this is the first time we had a house that was not clean when we arrived. The kitchen cabinets had dirt on them, there were crumbs on the pantry shelves, the cooktop was dirty and some of the counters were sticky and we found grease on cookie sheets when we went to use them. Plus there must have been at least 50 fruit flies that permeated all rooms including downstairs in the bedrooms and bathrooms. Given that we are living in a pandemic I thought that the place would be extra clean but that was not the case. The management company took a long time to respond those issues( they set up stuff for fruit flies on Tuesday and we had arrived on Saturday, when we left there were still fruit flies) fix the pooling water in the master shower, the fact that the master closet had no door handle on it, the slatted wood lounge chairs on the deck had only a cushion for your tush. How can you think that would be comfortable to sit on that. So unfortunate because the view is beautiful from the deck.

Great location, beautiful home! Cleaning service needs improvement: food left in garbage disposal (made entire kitchen smell), counters not clean, bathtub in one of the downstairs bathrooms had mold. If cleaning was improved, this would be a five star propery!!

Great place to stay

My wife and I celebrated our 50th anniversary a year late because of covid with our whole family. This house was big enough to have everyone together and yet have individual space. Not on the beach but beautiful sunsets over the marsh.

The property the house sits on is beautiful After settling in I was disappointed with house for the following reasons:the coffee maker had not been cleaned out, the dishwasher was not emptied, The hardwood floors were sticky,the kitchen sliding glass door was very difficult to open and the handle was broken, the screened in porch and furniture was very dirty, the outdoor cushions were filthy and old, one of the outdoor rocking chairs was broken,one bedroom was missing the duvet cover, no hot water to master bath sinks. Regarding the screened in porch;sitting on the furniture just was not inviting because it looked and felt dirty as well as the outdoor furniture. Cleaned and/or new cushions would be a great improvement. We traveled with our elderly parents and they spent a lot of time on the porch which was disappointing. Blowing it out with a leaf blower would be a good idea. Overall Kiawah is beautiful but rentals are expensive so my expectations were high. This house needs some attention to be a rental on the island compared to the others I think

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had checked on method of sanitizing as we were going there during CoVid. We were assured that they were following guidelines set by the State. The house appeared clean at first sight as long as one did not check corners etc. We checked in early evening and had to proceed to clean and sanitize all surfaces and drawers in kitchen and bathrooms, removing hairs and makeup, etc. We had brought our own bedding and upon removing their sheets realized the mattress cover was not clean, so had to launder before making bed. During yoga practice the following day I was appalled at what was lying under bed and dresser. Can I attach a photo of accumulation of dust, quarters, empty bottle etc. On second day I appreciated Akers Ellis contacting us by email asking if all was OK. Replied with above comments, but no one ever contacted us - obviously auto generated email not meant to be paid any attention to. The house is a rental property, is in need of lots of maintenance, especially the MBR ensuite’s shower. Once I’d cleaned up, gotten over the surprises and settled in, we enjoyed our stay in Kiawah despite the 40* weather.

Felt comfortable from the minute we walked in. The layout of the house was great and the abundance of lighting options let you set the mood you desired. The kitchen was well stocked, we prepared all of our meals. The BOSE mini sound link was super. The master bathroom huge with a wonderful shower & jacuzzi. Linens, towels very good quality, We had a couple questions that were answered within 5 minutes of email. All in all a super vacation rental. Screened in porch was great & right out the front door is a wonderful trail for walking/biking. Would certainly stay there again
