We loved our 4 night stay in the cottage. We did some day trips, returning each afternoon to the cottage. So private, relaxing and comfortable. We would definitely return.

A beautiful little place in a beautiful area! Angela was prompt with any questions I had. Would definitely recommend it and we may come back again.
Wonderful place to stay! It’s tuck away in this quiet neighborhood. It’s far away from the chaos of Burlington but close enough that we’re able to go back and forth multiple times a day. We dropped off our son at UVM and stayed for a week. Angela is very accommodating and replied promptly to our inquiries. I wish we could have used the kayaks but it was not available for the guests. However, Angela provided an option for us to rent one nearby. Overall, we absolutely enjoyed the place and we are planning to stay here again on our next visit, can’t wait to experience this place during winter! Thank you!!!

About the host
Hosted by Angela LaForest
I was born and raised in Vermont, and though I've lived across the lake for some time now, I'll always be a Vermonter at heart. I love the green hills, the beauty, and the gritty, independent, entreprenurial spirit of many Vermont people. I'm from at least three generations on Lake Iroquois and three generations of hospitality. I love sharing with our guests the beauty and peace of this very special place. My goal is always to present our place to guests exactly as I'd like to experience it as a guest myself!
What makes this property unique
I've been all around Lake Iroquois and I think we have one of the best views on the whole lake! Perching a little above the water line as we do gives a nice perspective, and we can see all the way to the beach! And we have some 'elbow room'...front and back lawns to enjoy, in addition to the waterfront, dock, and deck. The interior is unique and a little rustic, while very clean, comfortable, and with all the modern conveniences. We've enjoyed refreshing it in various ways over the last few years, so returning guests get to see our progress year to year.
This property has been in our family for at least three generations. The main part of the cottage was originally an outbuilding on the old home farm down on Route 116! The exterior is still painted to match the old farmhouse. I'm privileged to be entrusted with it's care for a while. I appreciate our good neighbors, some of whose families have been here as long or longer than ours,
