A small cabin built like a studio apartment. Very roomy and homey — quaint, quiet and simple. There’s a garden with fresh greens and herbs for your enjoyment and world class hiking and skiing within 10 minutes.

Palmer and Wasilla are 15 minutes away. There’s a large parking area and shed with fun outdoor gear to use, though we ask that you request before using it.

Great little gem that gives the feeling of being in rural Alaska but close to in-town ammenities! The cabin was large and the bed was super comfy! Check in amd out was easy and smooth. 10 out of 10 would stay again!

Great location and cute cabin! Comfy bed and nice space inside. Also had a Moose visitor our first morning there. We have had a minor issue in the beginning but the property manager resolved the issue super fast. Will stay again whenever we come down to Palmer.

We did not enjoy this cabin. We booked a 3 night stay and left after the second night. The bathroom and kitchen have no ventilation system in place. The windows had heavy condensation because of it. There is a major safety problem with the circuit breaker box that is open to the main power feed when accessing breakers. There was what appeared to be mold on one window frame. Most problematic what the heating of the cabin. It comes with 2 gas fired heaters, one of which requires manually lighting a pilot light low to the floor. We used the other gas heater that the internal thermostat did not work well. It has a wood fireplace and 3 portable electric heaters. We could not maintain a set temperature, either too hot or too cold. The cabin was 45 degrees on our arrival and the wall thermostat had an out of service tag. The king size bed comes with a 3” foam pad to help make up for a poor quality mattress.

This is one of the older cabins and could use some upgrades, door and window, but it is a very efficient cabin with plenty of room to move around and for 4 people to sleep. It is very easy to get into with no steps for anyone who has mobility limitations. We enjoyed our stay very much and our host quickly responded to our requests. We love the garden with herbs and flowers, fountain with fish that may be fed and lawn and walks around the neighborhood.

I won a gold and silver medal at the 2018 winter games in Pyongchang South Korea. Then I used that income to buy this 5 acres on an airstrip and started my dream journey of building a BnB and lodge. After living in Alaska my entire life, I love to guide the great outdoors. Hunt fish and fly!

Why they chose this property

It used to be very rural and quiet. Though it’s gradually growing into a nice neighborhood surrounded by brand new homes and a gated community. About 10 minutes from Hatcher pass, 15 from wasilla and 15 from palmer. It’s a great centralized location.

What makes this property unique

We have a nice little airstrip which you can see bush planes land and take off from. There’s a fire pit and a BBQ pit as well as fresh garden veggies and farm eggs in the summer.
