Our first visit to Skaneateles, and we’ll definitely be back! Brian was fantastic to work with from start to finish—great communication, very responsive, and genuinely focused on making sure we had a great stay.We ran into an unexpected issue with the property during our visit, and Brian responded immediately. He called us right away, took ownership of the situation, and went above and beyond to make sure it didn’t negatively impact our trip. The way he handled it was honestly impressive and turned what could have been a frustrating situation into a great experience.It’s easy to be a good host when everything goes perfectly, but you really find out how good someone is when something unexpected happens. Brian absolutely came through for us. We had a wonderful time in Skaneateles and wouldn’t hesitate to stay at one of his properties again. Highly recommend!

The property was beautiful and clean. Access was easy and we enjoyed the quiet peacefulness while we were back and forth between Syracuse University for graduation. The host was incredibly helpful and accommodating allowing us to stay a little later that afternoon :)

We had a wonderful stay! This property was clean and very comfortable. The area was peaceful and we enjoyed sitting out by the lake as well as exploring all Skaneateles has to offer (Mirbeau Spa, Anyela’s Vineyards, restaurants in town, etc…). The property manager was very helpful in making sure we knew how to get into the house, provided us with all the details we needed for the house during our stay as well as things to do in the area as we were all first time visitors. We would highly recommend this property for a girls weekend or family vacation.

Nostalgia at its very best!

We came to the lake for my aunt’s 80th birthday and we grew up coming to this lake every summer until I was 13 and it really brought back the nostalgia. The Lake view was beautiful. The rooms were comfortable and clean and it was just a perfect place for my family to gather and make memories. Brian was attentive from the time I booked to afterwards making sure we got home. he went above and beyond and anticipated all of our needs and any quirks about the property his communication was unparalleled will definitely be back!

Overall nice with some pros & some cons

Pros:- The location of the house is great.- Excellent views of the lake from the kitchen and living room. - Nice layout - 2 bedrooms downstairs - 1 upstairs with attached bath. (Small beds upstairs). - plenty of blankets and pillows.- Deposit wasn’t charged until close to check-in and refunded a couple days after check out.- Property manager VERY (too?) communicative - so I’m sure any problems can be addressed quickly.Cons:- The management of the property is a bit much. A separate lease must be signed (& additional info below).- Rules disclosed in the lease but not in the listing include:“ THE PROPERTY HAS A SMALL SYSTEM THAT CAN NOT HANDLE OVERUSE. QUICK SHOWERS NO MORE THEN FIVE MINUTES, 0-1 LOADS OF LAUNDRY PER DAY, SPREAD OUT WATER USE. ”- Level of cleaning expected included in lease documentation is also a bit much:“b. House swept c. Kitchen and Bathroom counters wiped d. Microwave/Refrigerator wiped and emptied”- House has some “quirks” disclosed upon arrival - including not being able to use any other appliances while the dishwasher is in use. Also - there is a floor to ceiling wood cabinet directly next to the stove - so don’t plan on using all burners on the stove.

Thank you for being mindful of water use as the system is capable but with it being so close to the lake, I like to be mindful of water usage and communicate good/general septic practices. We also appreciate you helping out with our cleaning staff and following the checkout checklist, hopefully it was not to much of an inconvenience. I apologize if my communication was a bit much. This is a new listing and, I was attempting to be proactive with questions/concerns. Finally, I 100% agree that the location of this property is fantastic, the view excellent and the layout convenient. We look forward to welcoming you back and again thank you for the feedback greatly appreciated!
