It was a lovely place to stay and hang out, near a lot of various places! It worked out well for how many guests we had booked. The only small thing was that the house wasn’t cleaned well when we arrived.

I will say I was a little worried with the looks of the outside and the name house of Funk. But there were 10 of us ladies and the house worked out perfect! We lived the little bar/cafe next door. The house was very clean and the ONLY complaint we had was there weren't enough coffee mugs for all 10 of us and what was there was plastic. And if that was the only problem then it sure wasn't nothing to whine about!

Weekend get together

We had an engagement party, our stay was great we were party of 12. Everyone had a place to sleep the kitchen was great and the house was spotless. Would stay here again

Excellent stay

We were in town for a basketball tournament. The house was very comfortable and clean. Location is excellent-amazing little cafe right next door was a bonus. Communication, check in, and overall comfort was excellent.

Great stay near Drake

We really enjoyed our stay at House of Funk! The home is very large and was perfect for our group of 8 people. It also is in a great location, within walking distance of Drake University and next door to Library Cafe. We would recommend this home!

Perfect for our large group!

We could not have found a more perfect house for our group! There was plenty of space for the 10 of us, and our host responded instantly whenever we had questions. We will definitely try staying here again when we’re in Des Moines.
