This quaint, cozy, quiet two bedroom fully furnished apartment in the Village of Lanesville has views of the Ipswich Bay from its second floor vantage point.

The neighborhood's grassy knolls, serene pines, rocky coast and walking trails provide a perfect setting to enjoy the beautiful sunsets over the Bay.

Nearby are quarries, coves, beaches, galleries & retreats. Walk to beautiful Flat Rocks, an exquisite stretch of Cape Ann's renowned rocky coast to the north & west; or visit Halibut Point State Park, an exploration of trail and quarry surrounded by the North Shore Ocean Sanctuary, Atlantic Coast, Rockport. Lanes Cove and Plum Cove Beach are both to the south, less than a mile away. Located on a coastal scenic byway, public transportation is easily accessible in either direction.

The open plan living / dining room / kitchen is spacious and bright. One bedroom has a queen bed and a day bed; the second bedroom has a twin single bed. All rooms (with the exception of the kitchen & bath) have wall to wall carpeting.

The kitchen includes cooking utensils, pots & pans, dishcloths, potholders, flatware, dishware, glassware. Standard appliances include a refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster and coffee maker.

Bed linens and bath linens (bath towels, hand towels & face cloths) are provided. Basic housekeeping supplies are provided.

Lanesville Visit

Great apartment.

Everything was honestly perfect. Overly well stocked kitchen (pots, pans, dishes etc), towels (both beach and shower) and comfort galore. My only issue is that the pics show a fenced yard, and one side is NOT fenced. We were allowed to bring our small dog, and bc of the pics I assumed (as would anyone) the yard was fenced. Not a deal breaker and probably would use property qgain, but would have been nice to know.

A Lanesville Lullaby

The stairs could be problematic for handicap accessibility, but the apartment is utterly charming. We had a WONDERFUL time and Jen, our hostess, was immediately available and responsive to any issue. We really appreciated her helpfulness. HIGHLY recommend!!!.

A home away from home. 2 Bedrooms, 3 beds, a sitting area, a dining area and a spacious kitchen with all the amenities! Just a 10 minute drive from adorable little seaside towns, and has all the architectural eye-candy a Nora Roberts and Debbie Macomber, Good Witch, Practical Magic readers, dreamers and watchers could want. Highly recommend.

Perfect nest while visiting Gloucester

We (my husband , our 11-year-old daughter, and I) really enjoyed our weeklong stay here. Everything was super clean, and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need to cook, and so much more. You could easily entertain while staying here! Instructions were really thorough and helpful, and Jen was responsive. We managed to get ourselves locked out of the apartment (totally our fault) and she was patient and helpful in getting us back in. Its was an ideal location for exploring the island. You can walk to the package store, Lanes Cove and Plum Cove Beach. Great parking, easy everything. The surprise snacks were an extra bonus (so appreciated after traveling all day), and the home is equipped with loads of beach towels. We'll absolutely stay there again. Thanks, Jen!

Cozy and comfortable

Jen's place was cozy and comfortable. The location was great, near historic Gloucester with great shopping and restaurants, and two nice beaches, and a short walk to a beautiful cove. The beds were comfortable, there were big fluffy towels, and even snacks and bottled water! Jen's recommendations to Sugar Magnolias and Lobsta Land were perfect. We ate at both restaurants twice!

Carefully attended apartment in a beautiful place

All of the basics like wifi and towels were there plus Jennifer was nice enough to leave some chips and croissants. It is very close to Plum and Lane coves for swimming and exploring. Close enough to Gloucester and Rockport. Highly recommended. But leave some time for me. I want to go back.

On the Cove

Clean, quiet and cozy upstairs apartment in residential area of coastal Gloucester, great location for all the places we wanted to visit! Jen was a great host, made sure we had everything we needed, knew we were arriving at night so left the porch light on, always available if we needed her.

Exactly what we were looking for!

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay. The place is really nice, clean and has everything you need. Short drive to Long Beach which was one of the very few offering non-resident parking. Jen was in touch with us and very helpful during our stay. I would definitely go back!

Still love this rental!

We come here year after year and always enjoy this place! The apartment is clean and very comfortable, we love having air conditioning for those hot summer days. The improvements that Jen has made to the guest space in the backyard are lovely. Glouster review

The place was nice, but a little small for my preference, but it was a clean and cozy place to stay. The owner easy to communicate with, and the location is a little bit away from downtown. 15 min drive or less to get to where you want to go.

Lanesville Comfy Bed Rental

We had a nice stay at Jen's place. She was very accommodating. The tidy apartment had two bedrooms with really comfortable beds which was great. Air conditioners kept the place cool. Really close to Plum Cove beach (under a mile) where there are great sunsets. It is about a 15 min. drive to Good Harbor. Closer proximity to downtown Rockport than Good Harbor. It was nice to be on Cape Ann again!

Nice Quiet Setting

This property worked out perfectly for me. I was visiting my brother and his family who were staying in Rockport, so it was just a short drive away. While not directly in town, it was nice to come back at the end of the day to such a nice quiet setting. Everything was very comfortable, and the unit came with everything I needed. It was very hot the weekend I was there, so the air-conditioning was great and much appreciated! Jennifer was a great host, and provided many personal touches to the apartment. I can't wait to plan a return trip!

Location was great

Just a short walk to the rocky shore, gorgeous sunsets! The owner was very nice, left bottled water and snacks for us and had all the fans and AC turned on for our arrival. Place would be perfect if there was a usable deck off the back of the house. As it was, there was a staircase that lead to the owner’s deck which we could use to get to the good-sized yard. We were able to bring our dog which was great. All the linens were provided as were beach chairs and an umbrella.

Griffin's getaway had all we needed for a long weekend away. Clean and comfortable well appointed space, snacks and croissants from our host, fully stocked kitchen, and we got to have our therapy dog with us which meant the world. I would definitely stay again and recommend to others. If I made any improvement suggestions it might be to consider a new couch, the current one was a bit uncomfortable and low on the floor. Thank you, and we will see you again : )

Clean, comfortable, great location.

We spent 4 nights and the place worked out perfectly for our family of 4. Clean with plenty of room. We grilled a couple nights in the back yard and ate out a couple nights. Very central to several great beaches. We went to Wingaersheek, Good Harbor, and Crane Beach we would recommend all three. It is also very close to the Halibut Point State Park which is a beautiful spot on the ocean with an old quarry and trails for walking. There is no beach to swim there, but the kids loved the trails and walking on all of the rocks down by the ocean. A short drive and you are in Rockport with lots of nice shops and restaurants. We enjoyed visiting the Bearskin Neck area. Even if you want to go into Boston it is less than an hour drive or you can hop on the commuter rail in Rockport. We drove into the Museum Of Science (about 50 min drive) and took a Duckboat Tour in Boston. Jen was very nice and we will hopefully be back to visit again something.
