Used Skylark for JMU graduation. Host was responsive . Met all the needs for my daughter's graduation. This place made grandparents were happy- one floor, accessible bathroom and spacious . So, if you need a place for JMU graduation that sleeps 8 comfortably, this is your place!
Home is as advertised. It was nice to have our pups with us so our son, who’s away at JMU, could get quality time with the entire family. We enjoyed ourselves immensely.
We stayed at Skylark's Nest for a quick family ski trip. The location was fantastic and the property perfectly met our needs. We were so pleased to be able to bring our dogs. The porches both had gates and there were leashes to keep the pups in the yard. We really appreciated the dog friendliness of this property!

Heat was set to 50 degree when we arrived at 4 pm. Turned heat to 68 and waited two hours and the system read it was now 51. Texted owner. He sent a man out later and brought us a 18 inch space heater. He looked at heat and said it may take a while to heat up. 4 hours later we were now at 54 degrees. 2 children and my gi
This home is not just dog friendly, it is dog inviting and welcoming. The gated deck and porch were a relief and pleasant surprise, as were the extra leashes, water bowl and dog bed. It’s a nice place for humans too. There are lots of extra touches including multiple tvs, Bluetooth speakers, phone chargers, blankets, and a well stocked laundry room. The dryer dries really fast!My only suggestion to the owner would be to have more comfy living room furniture. The adults in our group didn’t ski so we spent lots of time on the couch. All of the beds were super comfortable. The home is extremely convenient to the slopes and the driveway isn’t crazy steep. Communication with the owner was very good. We hope to stay here again
