The best part of Whispering Pines is the private and peaceful feel even though you’re minutes from the city. The cabin was clean and spacious and the game room was a BIG hit for our family. The views from the interior of the cabin out onto the lake are priceless and the large bonfire pit and supplied wood was very nice. The “caffeine station “ was also a nice touch and the ice making machine in the refrigerator was very convenient. A wonderful family vacation was had by all and the memories created at Whispering Pines will last forever.

Our family of 5 had a wonderful time at the cabin! It was clean, comfortable, situated within 10 minutes of stores, restaurants, water parks and beaches, but also very private. The game room was SO FUN! The hosts were very helpful and responsive before and during our stay. We will definitely be back!

Celebrated my daughter’s Sweet 16 birthday with all teenagers & they loved it! By far, the best we have stayed at. Hospitality - phenomenal. Response time - very quick. Easy to read and understand instructions. Definitely family friendly for all ages. The teens actually put their phones down! The only reason I don’t want to highly recommend is to keep the calendar open for me to rent

This property was great for our stay. Very clean, so well stocked, a great hangout area in the garage with a lot of things for the kids (and adults) to do, and wonderful communication. It is also very close to stores and restaurants but secluded enough that you don't feel near them. I will say it should be noted that it wasn't possible to access the water from the dock. The end of the dock is all mud and weeds. If the water levels of lake are low this may not be typical, but we almost rented a jet ski and were relieved we didn't as we would not have had any where to tie it up. Only mentioning this to say it might be worth checking with the hosts prior to booking to clarify if that is the case. Thank you for a great weekend!

Beautiful cabin for a weekend getaway

We stayed for a long weekend with the family. The cabin was very clean, stocked with plenty of amenities, and had a beautiful view of the lake. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there, our kids really enjoyed the game room, and overall we had a wonderful experience. We would definitely stay there again!

Great cabin. What I liked the most is kids playroom with variety of toys, kept out 4 and 2 yo entertained for the entire stay. Separate game room kept our teenagers entertained as well. Interior design is very modern and stylish. Location is just perfect, 5 minutes to Costco, Wallmart, Target. Close to Brainerd, Nisswa and Gull lake ( 20 min drive).

We had a wonderful time here! Booking and communication prior to our arrival was great. Check-in was super easy. We stayed for 5 nights and our kids were entertained the entire time. I loved that they had things to accommodate our young children (pack and play, high chair, kids plates and utensils), an entire kids playroom, and a garage with lots of fun games. The coffee bar was amazing, the toiletries they provided were beyond what we were used too (compared to other rentals), and the house was incredibly clean. We never ran into any iasues with plumbing or heating. My entire family had nothing but positive things to say about our stay.

Amazing Amenities

This rental was amazing for our needs. We were in town for a family wedding, and the location was great. The view was very enjoyable. And the owners were very accommodating to our special needs. This was the best stocked VRBO we’ve ever stayed in! The coffee bar was so nice, the extra toiletries Were very thoughtful, and we had plenty of towels and bedding. I would recommend this to anyone who needs to stay in this area.

Relaxing, quiet, entraining

It was definitely a “home away from home”. The garage was perfect for any night owls or for kiddos to get some energy out. It was also a great space to celebrate my brothers graduation from Teen Challenge. No complaints at all. We can’t wait to book again this summer to enjoy the outdoor amenities

The home is beautiful. My grandkids loved the playroom. The garage had so many fun games to play. I loved that there was a recliner in the living room as i need to keep my feet up. The host answered our queries quickly. We had two issues. It’s June and the dock wasn’t in. We had to drag the kayaks and paddleboard through long grass and mud to use them. My husband couldn’t kayak as he didn’t feel he could get through there and into the water safely. The second issue was that we bought food to grill and the gas grill had no gas and the wood pellet smoker had no pellets, only dust. We got it to smoke a little bit but the temp never got hot enough to warm the food. We had to use the microwave. We let the host know the first night of these issues and it sounded like they’d deal with them but it didn’t happen while we were there. Still, we loved the area and we’d stay there again definitely.

We had an amazing stay and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The house was clean and absolutely adorable—such a charming place! The property was well maintained and stunning, making for a great getaway. We loved everything it had to offer, from the fun-filled game room to the stunning views. Coffee in the morning was the best! The location was perfect, too. Lots to do in the area! We’re already planning our next visit—but next time for a longer stay! Scott was incredibly kind, with excellent communication and quick response times. Having stayed at several VRBO properties, I can confidently say this one is at the top of the list. Don’t hesitate to book—this place is perfect!

Amazing property Only stayed 3 nights, wish we had more time.Celebrated our granddaughter’s 5th birthday. The garage is incredible and has everything you could want, a fridge, games galore, ping pong table was the hit the first night. Places to plug in crock pots, beautiful bar and bar stools. Couch and Large tv.The house was very clean and has everything in the kitchen that you would expect but much more Extras that you don’t find in most rentals, (ex:blender, crock pot, lots of pan's, plastic large and small bowls) Love the large elevated dinning room table.All garbage bags and TP provided. A nice little container of toiletries under each sink, nice touch. Plenty of towels. The deck is very big. Plenty of firewood. Had fires Plenty of parking.Feels like you are alone on a lake.But so close to all the stores in Baxter.Can’t say more great things My daughter said so crazy to be on a lake home and still drive out and go to stores. Perfect place.We all loved it.Would definitely rent again.
