Hello Allegra, thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry the property did not meet your expectations. However, I do need to correct statements in this review that are presented as direct quotations from me but are not statements I made. Regarding the linens, your review quotes me as saying, “you’re welcome to buy some new linens.” I never said this. My actual response was: “If you don’t like the linens Id be more than happy to buy brand new ones with right fit and swing by to put them on.” I offered to personally purchase new linens and bring them to the property. At no point did I ask or suggest that you purchase them yourself. Regarding the odor, your review quotes me as saying, “I can’t control the smell.” Again, I never said this. My actual response was: “I don’t normally get smoke smell complaints but it could very well be a neighbor smoking. Apologies for this inconvenience as some thing are out of my control but I assure this is not the norm or a complaint I hardly get. Id be happy to drop off Airfreshner if you’d like.” I apologized, explained that I had not previously been made aware of a smoke odor, offered a possible explanation, and offered to personally bring supplies to help address it. Most importantly, I ended my response by saying: “Please let me know how I can help improve your experience and thanks for any feedback.” When I received no response, I reached out again the following day: “I am checking in to see how everything is going and to see if you need anything. If you need anything corrected from your initial concerns please let me know I can swing by and take care of it.” Unfortunately, I received no response to either offer during the remainder of the stay, so I was never given the opportunity to address these concerns in person. I absolutely respect a guest’s right to leave an honest review about their experience, including criticism of the property. However, I believe it is equally important that statements presented as direct quotations accurately reflect what was actually said. I made multiple attempts to help and offered to personally purchase, deliver, and correct the concerns brought to my attention.
