We enjoyed our stay. The house was very charming. We enjoyed the front porch and the private beach. One minor request would be to upgrade the mattresses. Overall a great place to stay!!

Very family friendly place to spend a week or more up north. So much to do in the surrounding area for young and old alike. We loved the private beach and the playground a few steps from the house. We would love to come back!

Roomy house

Very roomy, great location. Nice to have 3 bathrooms. Kitchen was well supplied with pans, plates, etc., could use basic ingredients such as salt, pepper though. Nice to have beach access but a bit early in the summer for that, and we had rainy weather.

Our experience was significantly diminished by the way we were treated by members of this private community.We were celebrating an 80th birthday, with nine guests in a cottage that sleeps 10 and three cars. We were a quiet family vacationing together, yet repeatedly felt that normal vacation activities were being monitored & criticized .At the beach, homeowners told us renters could not use the chairs and questioned where we came from, despite our being told by the property manager that we had unrestricted beach access. We were confronted for using “too many chairs” (six) and taking “prime” beach space that only belonged to owners. We were also informed by a passerby that renters could not use the tennis courts or playground due to a new community “law.”Our kids were filmed while tossing a volleyball on the beach (why are people filming children???), our cars/license plates were photographed, and strangers walking by questioned how many people were staying in the house. Someone even complained that we spent too much time sitting on the porch. This behavior continued throughout the week from various residents.The cottage itself was charming, but prospective renters should know that we were repeatedly made to feel that, as renters, we simply weren’t welcome.

While I understand the association is not responsible for the actions of individuals, I do believe it is important that behavior like this is addressed when it occurs, especially within a community that prides itself on being welcoming and respectful to all. I will certainly reach out immediately should anything like this happen again.
