The space
This house sits on 1.5 acres, and is located in a perfect location to access tons of outdoor activities! We have an unfinished mudroom ( a work in progress! ) for you to keep all of your gear in. The mudroom in connected to the house. You will enter into the renovated kitchen which has new quartz countertops and new appliances but still has rustic charm with exposed beam ceilings, original floors, and an original beehive oven ( just for decorative purposes now). Downstairs there is a large living room, guest bedroom, and full bath. Upstairs off the main landing we have two small bedrooms, two large bedrooms, and a large full bathroom, which is accessible to all upstairs rooms. All beds in the home are very comfortable Nectar memory foam mattresses. This house is full of love and character. We are sure you will enjoy it and the surrounding area.

The Best of Vermont

Coming from the hustle and bustle of Quebec City, the lovely farmhouse was just what our souls needed to rejuvenate. The home is situated just outside town, which offers all the essentials, but is positioned on the most idyllic landscape away from chaos. This 200 year old home is absolutely amazing in history, but offers the creature comforts of a new home. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was large and well stocked, the bathrooms were also large and updated. Michael was very communicative and welcoming (thank you). We were a family of five, to include my 78 year old mom, and the house fit us perfectly. It's like stepping back into time and fully appreciating the culture of Vermont. This will be a highlight of your trip!

We have been hosting for a few years on Airbnb and decided to branch out to VRBO. We enjoy sharing our historic farmhouse with guests when we aren't using it ourselves. It is a unique experience to stay in a 200+ year old house, that has been well taken care of over the years.

Why they chose this property

I love Vermont for the scenery, the outdoor recreation, the people, and the vibe. I am a cyclist and love to ride gravel. The Lamoille Valley Rail Trail (LVRT) is adjacent to our property and I have put in many miles on it and use it to connect with the many gravel roads in the area. I also love skiing at Smugglers Notch, which is 15 minutes from the farmhouse. I'm also into beer and love that there are world class brewers in the area.
