Very good

Immediately responded to any issues. Suggestions for future - xtra bankers, ability to change temperature, more kitchen supplies (wine glasses and better cork screw, paper towels, more TP. However this place is clean comfortable and great!
Overall good. My only problem was at one point the toilet stopped working and found that chain was loose and so we had to make sure handle was propped properly
We needed a place for a baseball tourney and this two bedroom did exactly what we needed, it provided a comfortable quite, safe, place to get a good night sleep.

The water in the shower wasn’t hot. Only having one tv in the whole house
We rented this because of the king bed, which was very comfortable. Could ask for TV in the bedroom where king bed is as there is only a TV in bedroom with queen bed and no TV in living room either. Very nice house and appeared to be a nice location.
Upon entering the unit, we were met with a pretty deeply entrenched smoke smell, so much so that I reached out to the host to ask if I had misunderstood the listing as a non-smoking property. The host was friendly and said that the prior guests were not so great. We almost did not stay for the second night because the smoke smell was so prominent, it was beginning to mess with my asthma and allergies. It reminded me of being in my dad’s house where he smoked for 50 years. We left with our clothes (and CPAP hoses, we learned later), smelling of smoke, even though there was no active smoking happening.Overall, the house was clean, though some items were held together with clear, packaging tape, like the hairdryer, a light switch at the entry (assumed do not use), and a picture frame in the kitchen. We liked the idea of flowers in a vase on the kitchen table, though the flowers and water were old and smelled bad.The king bed was very comfortable, but the pillows in both rooms were quite flat and we both left with neck pain. The queen bed was a bit lumpy and sagged. We mostly use that room to watch TV. There was nice hot water in the bathroom sink and the kitchen sink (which clogged immediately while washing 2 dishes), but the bathroom tub and shower must have an internal temperature setting because it never reached hot.We loved the use of the piano, and thought the wall mural was charming. The house has potential, but would not be a vacation home I would choose again.
I like to stay where I fell safe because I usually travel alone. I am familiar with keypad entries and this one did not work well- the keys seemed to stick, especially the "0" and it took numerous attempts to finally get the code accepted and to unlock the door. All of this in the dark as there is no outside light. The entry to the front door smells like a cat litter box, I believe because one of the beds in front of the house is only dirt and the cat(s) from next door might be using it as a litter box. There are not lights except in the kitchen that operate when the switch is engaged on the wall; there are lamps that come on when the switch is engaged but not if they are not initially turned on. The bed linens, blankets and towels are all frayed and appear to be quite old and well used, the mattress cover on the back bed has a huge lump in the middle of the bed that looks like an animal is under there. The glow in the dark stars do NOT add to the atmosphere in a positive manner. I'm wondering why the only television in the house is in a bedroom? I know it might be nice of the previous renters to have left their condiments but I'm not sure who in the world would use them? The carpets are stained and the rugs on top do nothing to help that. The dead plants in the living room area were for???? The bathroom was the nicest room in the house. Finally, locked door at the end of the hallway and the one to the garage make for a VERY scary experience! I appreciate there was wifi.

Front entry floor was dirty right as we walked in. Fridge smelled bad. Stove is rusty. Cobwebs in bedroom table lamp. Pet hair in bedding so we couldn’t use the bedroom with the tv in it. Dead fly right at bedroom entry on the carpet. Pet hair on bathroom floor/behind door and bathtub ledge. Hairball on the nightstand shelf. Mouse or roach droppings under nightstand of bedroom. Back door wasn’t locked when we arrived and we had to slam it multiple times to lock the knob but deadbolt still wouldn’t lock. Front door hard to lock. Old house smell covered by air purifier fragrance. Towels smelled stale from being stored in old closet. I’m glad I had a blanket and pillows in my car to use because I did not feel good using the blankets on the bed cause of the pet hair. It was hard to figure out the thermostat so we could never get it to a comfy temperature because the house was warm when we arrived. We arrived late so I didn’t contact the host but I did let her know the next day we weren’t staying the second night because it just didn’t feel clean/Comfortable. Obviously I was passed the refund timeframe so I did not get a refund for the second night, but just wanted to make a review that was more honest because I booked it based off the cleanliness reviews of others and was disappointed. It had a “basic clean” but needs a deep clean. items need to be moved and vacuumed thoroughly. There’s accumulation in the corners and underneath beds/nightstands.
The closest was broke I found a towel with blood stains in it there was no broom or dustpan to clean the bottom of the couch was ripped up the shower only half the way works I went to take a shower and it was half shower water and half bath water
A lot of stuff was alr broke when i was there, and then i got blamed for it. Doesn’t communicate when needed. I wouldn’t book if you don’t get the insurance

Response from VrboOwner on 19 February 2026
Not sure why VRBO allows guests to rate their stay when there’s charges being filed against the guest for the amount of damage and vandalism done to the property. All of it 100% done by the guest. I gave him a clean property and he left it completely trashed with many things broken and needing to be replaced
